Jennie has been at the LM Group of Companies office for a week but Lisa still ignores her. She sees her sometimes but she is always preoccupied with work or talking to someone. If they accidentally meet in the hallway, apart from a slight nod, she shows no indication that she knows or sees her.

What is she expecting? She guessed.. No, she wished they could put the past aside. It seems so long ago.

"Miss Jennie, here are the documents you borrowed." Jisoo's assistant came in to help her dig through historical documents and clippings of the company's press releases through the years. Normally, only the figures and trends here are important for her. But as she read things about LMGC, she realized how much she longed for any information on Lisa's life over the years. All of a sudden, it seems very important for her to read the information she has withheld from herself.

The more she read, the more she became proud of Lisa. Proud of what she had become. She did everything she was dreamed of doing and exceeded it. Obviously, all her investments paid off.

She is happy for Lisa, but there is a part of her that is sad because she wished she had been with her in that journey and success. Instead, now she had no feelings left for her but anger.

"Is anything wrong?"

Jennie was even more surprised to hear that voice from the door of the room assigned to her.

It's Lisa. She was looking at her but she couldn't read the expression on her face.

She spoke to answer her. "No. Everything is okay. Is there anything I can do for you?"

Lisa slowly stepped into the room. "My assistant said I have an appointment with you for an interview this afternoon at five. I was wondering if we could set it much later. I would like to call a committee meeting at the same time." She said that in the same colorless voice she always used to her when her needed to talk to her. It sounds like a tone one would use when talking to a wall.

"Sure. What time do you think?"

"Around seven?"

She had no other plans for that night because Rosé was out of town when she called. "Okay. If you want we could have dinner.." Her voice faltered at the looked of Lisa gave her upon hearing her suggestion. "I mean, we could eat dinner while interviewing you." She tried to salvage her failed attempt to be friend the woman.

Lisa's answer was cold. "If the interview is not long, I would rather we do it in my office. I have other plans for tonight."

Jennie's face got even hotter when the woman refused her offer. Is she too presumptuous? "Of course."

She was still not moving five minutes after Lisa left hee. If her cell phone hadn't rang, she would have been staring at the door Lisa exited.

"Hi, Wifey!"

Rosé called. She did not notify her in advance that she was coming because the change of plan that sent her home to Korea was a last minute change.

"I just got your message. I just arrived from Busan. Oh, my God, Jennie! I can't believe that you are here in Korea again. How are you, wifey? I'm so excited! What do you look like now? I was going to call our other friends, but I thought I want to keep you myself first. Let's go out tonight, I will.."

She laughed despite herself. "Hubby, slow down. First of all, I'm okay. It's a bit hectic from work because I was given only a short amount of time but otherwise, I'm okay."

"You mean, you are here on official business?"

"Yup."

Rosé pitch of her voice is still high with unstoppable excitement. "Cool. Where are you?"

"LM Group of Companies." She answered.

Rosé's reaction to what she heard was also sudden. "What? Are you crazy? What are you doing there? Didn't she kill you yet?"

Jennie didn't answer. No need to say who her best friend is referring to.

"I'm sorry. I'm so tactless. It's just that.. you know.. I thought.. Because Lisa is very angry with you the last time I saw her. I never thought I'd see you two in the same place again."

She cut Rosé. "You're right, the first time she saw me again, I had this feeling that she still wanted to kill me or hang me from the ceiling."

"What about now? How is she treating you now?"

She sighed deeply. How does Lisa treat her? The woman doesn't treat her badly, not after their first meeting. On the other hand, not paying attention to her either. "I am officially invisible."

Rosé laughed out loud. "You're still crazy! I have an idea. We better meet later so you can tell me everything. I mean everything, okay, wifey? As in from the landing of the plane you were on to what happened this morning. It will be like the old times. Should I pick you up?"

"No need, hubby. They let me use one of their company cars, actually. I will just meet you somewhere."

"Okay." Rosé agreed. "I can't wait to see you again, wifey!"

They agree on a time and place to meet before saying goodbye.

When Jennie hung up the phone, she was better than before. She feels likes she has an ally now. She returned to work to keep herself busy until the time of her next confrontation with Lisa.
