Chapter Two:

A large bar is set-up where the bartenders who serve a wide selection of alcohol drinks are all women dressed sexy. They look almost the same, long curly hair, big boobs, low neckline blouse, tight pants. They don't allowed anyone to order water at the bar. Water is poured on anyone who orders water by mistake. Every once a while, a woman climbs right on top of the bar to do a sexy dance. There are couches in the dark corners of the bar and small tables and chairs for groups or couples who want to go solo.

The place was littered with young men. Almost all, good-looking in their own way. There are also many women whose appearance is not far from the bartenders. Except that if that's possible the outfits are even sexier.

Not a few men followed Jennie's move. She noticed that, she knows that she's a head turner, but didn't pay attention. There is only one reason why she is here. And that reason was standing at the edge of the bar, a few steps away from the other guests, looking around every now and then, as if waiting for someone.

It's Jungkook.

Her heart jumped when she saw the young man. This was her chance. She spent half a day at the salon and used up her one week allowance to achieve the look she wanted for tonight. But she could have paid more and she won't regret it.

When she looked at herself one last time before she left the house she liked what she saw. She looked more mature, she saw that. Her normally long and straight hair was given waves. She was wearing make up whereas her face doesn't need make up anymore. And best of all, she was wearing her little black dress. Fashion magazines said, all women should have it in their wardrobe. So when she and her favorite aunt took a trip to the US, she bought her this kind of dress at a famous store on Fifth Avenue. The cost of that dress was probably about three months of an ordinary employee, but it was worth it. Jennie felt sexy just having the soft cloth rub against her thighs. She look hot and she knew that. It's a good thing her father is on an official visit in Busan because otherwise, she wouldn't be able to leave the house.

She smiled to herself as she approached Jungkook. That smile of a woman who believes that the only thing needed to conquer the whole world is a smooth complexion and a fair of not so long, shapely legs.

A man blocked her path. "Excuse me, Miss. Care for a drink?"

Shit! She thought but she smiled, not showing her slight annoyance. Nothing would spoil her night. Not this one who not only looks like a college jock, but feels like a college jock too.

He misinterpreted her smile. The man seems to be even more courageous, right arrogance. "You're so hot, Baby. You know I think we're perfect together."

Duh? She did not remove her smile. "Keep dreaming," she added sarcastically.. "Baby."

She was about to walk past her but he grabbed her by the arm. "Wait. Don't you have someone with you? I have a girl with me but I will ditch her anytime for you."

God, this man's face is so thick! That's what she was thinking but she knew that the man might make a scene if she rejected him. She used a different tactic. "You know what? I'd love that but you know, I have to take care of something important first. Maybe later?" Not on your life, she said to herself.

Her plan seems to be working. She smiled and was about to walk away but before she could leave, the man whispered to her. "Later, Sweetie."

I think her hair rose in horror. Disgusting! Anyway, back to business. Unfortunately, when she looked at where Jungkook was standing, he was gone. Panicking, she looked around but did not see what she was looking for. She approached the bar counter and wondered if anyone had seen him.

"I think I see him go out in there." She was shown the side exit of the bar.

"Thanks." She said before walking towards the direction the woman said.

She slowly opened the door, it led out into a pathway leading to the garden. In the middle of the garden there is a large gazebo. The gazebo was surrounded by low trees so all she could see from where she stood was Jungkook's familiar back.

She took a deep breath. This was the chance she was waiting for. She started walking towards him. She was only a few steps away when she heard the man's voice. Only then did she realize that she was not alone.

"I've been thinking about this for a long time." Jungkook started. "You're the first one I'll tell this because it's only fitting.."

She knows it's wrong to listen to other people's conversations. That was one of her mother's lessons before she died. But for some reason she couldn't move where she stood.

"Because, Lisa, I'm in love with you.."

It was as if cold water had been poured on her when she heard that. The first thing she felt was shock.

But Jungkook wasn't done talking yet. "I don't know how you'll react to this and I'm sorry but I've always been in love with you."

Jennie doesn't know how she managed to get away from the person who was talking. She didn't want to hear what Jungkook had to say next. Denial was the next thing she felt. No. That's not true. Impossible. Jungkook is not in love with someone. She love him. All her life it seemed, she loved the man. How could he be in love with someone else? She had never thought of that possibility. Then, she started feeling cheated. It was as if they had been robbed of something important to her.
