Daytime faded into the night like seasonal clockwork, with the stars and crescent moon shining through the waking darkness, allowing its light rays to trickle through the branches of the trees onto the forest grass. Fog gracefully covered the damp thin pricks of grass as the dew from the night settled in, glistening in the moonlight. The leaves on the trees swayed in the calming wind as the night grows on, flowing the music of the forest through the hollow holes on each trunk, waking the hourly owl to hoot it's harmony in unison.
This world is a beautiful place don't you think? The feeling of each and every organisms livelihood beneath the touch of your fingertips to the palms of your feet as you trend the tough girthed ground with the loose grains nestle between the tracks of your shoes. The living aura each life gives off with unique energy contained inside, giving soul to those and that around.

Breathing,
Living.

Most who live on this planet come to pass naturally with time and move on to whatever great beyond you believe in. Some have the unfortunate opportune of traversing this realm forever both in life, and in death... Even in death, those spirits still obtain some form of aura unfamiliar by many that lets them differ from other entities.

A soul...

It is said that those who hold an unfinished destiny are burdened to these grounds till their deed is complete. One they can not interfere with in great lengths, only enough to guide those destined by their death.
A grave mission,
a final mission.
What would it take for them to finally be left to rest? Perhaps one chooses to return even after that mission is complete, or yet, a force so great it keeps calling them back.

That bond.

Many we have lost have been thought to have moved on to that great beyond. Gone with the stars...one with the gods...
Some have had the chance to meet these heroes of the past and fought bravely along side with...we haven't questioned where they have gone in all this time, we just cherish the moment we had, knowing they are still here.
A bond that strongly holds us together.
And yet we still dream...
Longing to have just one more chance to see them again. Wondering, if you could go back, what would you change? Would you want to change anything after all you've been through, treading to not hurt what you have while you try to save what you wanted as well?

Most have accepted this fate already. They have become at peace with the knowledge learnt and time cherished with those who loved them for who they are, and what they wanted them to be... But... you are not that same one...

So,

What would one do...?

What would you do...?
