It Is Tomorrow

"Just hold on and pray for
a better tomorrow." --

Too common a sentiment

thrown around when all you
do is face the same tomorrow.

I stay in bed as long as possible
only to leave when the need for
the bathroom or food exceeds
my need for warmth.

I watch the same videos and shows

rather than participate in societal niceties.
I force myself to put on an act of being
active and marginally healthy by doing
an hour of exercise.
Music helps. Makes it palatable.

I go home and put on the same
shapeless pajamas I've been wearing
for the past week.
I cook and make enough to space it out
for the next couple of days.

I return to bed and wait for my husband to
come home.

Rinse and repeat.

"Just hold on and pray for
a better tomorrow" ...

Why? It's all the same.
