Silence--
I can't stand the silence.
I am drowning in silence,
haunted by melodies only I can hear.
I screamed and pled for you to
hear my voice.
Those sounds fell on deaf ears.
My tears rang deep,
piercing my heart like daggers.
The door closed,
leaving me in the dark.
Soundproof. For you.
Hidden away. From you.
Alone. By me.
Silent. For somebody else.
Loud. For my supposed legacy.
Gone. In my mind.
Present. For one more day.
Until I find my song and wipe away my pain.
