Ella arrived at Hagrid's shack to find the rest of the class arriving too.

"That's it. Come on, now. Come closer. Less talking, if you don't mind. I got a real treat for you today. A great lesson. So follow me," Hagrid said leading the group into the forest behind his shack.

Ella was holding onto the furry book for this class. It was held shut tightly with a red ribbon.

Hagrid turned to the group. "Okay form a group over there and open your books to page forty nine."

Draco spoke up, "exactly how do we do that?"

"Just stroke the spine, of course. Goodness me."

Ella stroke the spine and the book calmed down enough for her to open it. Longbottom opened his without doing so and got attacked, falling to the ground.

"Don't be such a wimp, longbottom," Draco commented as they all laughed. "Oh terribly funny. Witty. God, this place has gone to the dogs. Wait until father hears Dumbledores got this oaf teaching classes," he said as Crabbe and Goyle laughed.

Harry approached them. "Shut up Malfoy."

Draco stepped forward. Ella was leaning on a rock nearby. She could hear the commotion.

"Dementor! Dementor!" Draco shouted pointing up. Harry turned in fear.

Draco and his friends laughed. Pulling up their hoods to scare him. Ella couldn't help but let a small snicker escape her lips, it was a tad funny how they looked with their hoods over their heads.

Draco turned his attention to Ella. "Think I'm funny do you?"

She rolled her eyes. "Very funny," she said before turning her attention to Hagrid who came into view with a beast.

"Inst he beautiful? Say hello to Buckbeak. That is a hippogriff. Who would like to say hello?"

Everyone stepped back but Harry didn't move. Hagrid made Harry approach the beast, he bowed to the beast and it bowed back. Hagrid tossed him up to fly it, slapping its butt to fly off.

Ella pulled out a green apple from her bag, she was a bit hungry. Before she could take a bite, it was snatched from her hands from Draco Malfoy himself.

"Thanks for the apple, Wood," he said smirking as he took a bite before walking back to stand next to his friends.

"No problem," she said sarcastically as she closed her book. When Harry landed, he ran to the group to be congratulated. While everyone was distracted Draco began to walk up to the beast, tossing the apple to the floor.

"You're not dangerous at all, are you, you great ugly brute!"

"Malfoy no-."

Hagrid tried to stop him. The beast got angry, raising its legs in the air.

Malfoy fell to the floor, it's hoof hit his arm,

"It killed me. It killed me," Draco started yelling, "my father will hear about this!"

Everyone was standing around not knowing what to do. Hagrid began to ramble, "it's just a scratch. You'll be okay."

Ella decided to step forward having enough of this bullshit. "Take him to the hospital wing, now Hagrid!"

Hagrid straightened up. "I'll do it, I'm the teacher. Class dismissed!"

Hagrid picked up Draco and headed off.

Ella signed, she picked up the apple of hers he had tossed to the floor. "What a waste," she grumbled under her breath as she took it to dispose of it properly.

"Hey, Wood."

Ella turned around to see Pansy standing there. "What do you want, pug face?"

Pansy hissed out, "stay away from Draco."

"Gladly," Ella said with a smile as she turned on her heel to go for lunch in the dining hall. Her smile dropped. She felt like he was so stupid for approaching that beast.

At the dining hall, Ella munched on a ham and cheese sandwich when she noticed Draco entering. His arm was in a sling.

The moment he sat down Pansy was all over him. Pansy leaned on him. "You're so brave," she said with dreamy eyes.

"I know, I consider myself lucky," he said smirking.

"Sirius Black! He was spotted in Dufftown!"

Ella looked towards the Gryffindor table. Her eyebrows frowned. His getting closer to Hogwarts. She decided she was full, getting up from her table she walked out of the dining room hall, a pair of eyes watching her leave.

"Hey, stop!"

Ella turned in the hall to see Draco running after her. Her eyes targeted on the sling holding his arm.

"You're dramatic, you know that?" Ella said to him referring to his arm.

"I was attacked by that beast, everyone saw it happen-."

"You are the stupidest person I've ever met!" Ella yelled at him. She walked up to him, her face close to his. He felt intimidated but his eyes glanced at her lips slightly. "I hope your arm heals soon," she hissed, turning her heel to walk away but her grabbed her arm.

"Watch yourself, Wood. You don't know what I'm capable of," he said in her face, he squeezed her arm.

"You're capable of being dramatic," she said yanking her arm from his grasp. "Now stop following me," she said walking off to her dorm room.
