It was the quidditch cup this year and the Oliver family always went. They didn't get the best seats but they enjoyed the game as usual.
"Ella can you go grab me a drink from the concession stand?" her brother asked her as his face had face paint on it.
"Why can't you go grab it yourself?" Ella asked folding her arms, it was rather windy out.
"Ella please," her father said as they cheered for the game to start.
She huffed, walking down the stairs. She mumbled every bad word under her breath. She ended up bumping into a solid chest.
"Oh, sorry, excuse me," she mumbled but looked up to catch eyes with a certain blonde.
"Wood? I wasn't expecting to see you here," Draco spoke as a man who looked just like Draco appeared from behind him. They both were dressed in black. Draco wore a black suit and Ella couldn't help but notice how good he looked in it.
"Yes I'm here with my family," she said hoping he'll let her pass.
"Who is this, Draco?" the older man asked who held a cane in his hands.
"This is Ella Wood, father," he said introducing her to him.
"Nice to meet you, young lady. Lucius Malfoy," he said introducing himself.
"Hello sir," she said trying to pass them but Draco put up his arm.
"Woah, not so fast. Why you wearing a dress? For a second I thought you actually looked like a girl," he said teasing her. She wished her mother never forced her to wear her green dress that went to her knees. It had sleeves to her elbows.
"For a second in that suit I thought you looked like a man but then I saw your hair," she said shooting an insult back.
"You-."
"Hush Draco, stop teasing the girl. We must go now, I'll meet you at our seats," Lucius said walking off.
"See you at school, Wood," Draco said pushing into her shoulder as he passed her.
She huffed, decided fuck the drink, Oliver can get it himself. She went back to her seat.
"Hey where's my drink?" Oliver asked his eyebrows frowned.
"They are all out of drinks," she mumbled as the game began and he was too distracted to care. The game ended and sadly they were sleeping in a tent the whole weekend.
Ella laid on the top bunk of the bed as her family celebrated, having a fun time. She tried falling asleep but heard the sound of screams in the distance.
"Ella come on, we have to go now," her father said dragging her out of bed. She followed her family out of the tent to find death eaters chanting and burning the place to the ground.
...
Ella couldn't wait to start fourth year. She took her seat at the Hufflepuff table, enjoying the feast.
Dumbledore took the stand and began his speech, "We'll, now we're all settled in and sorted. I'd like to make an announcement. This castle will not only be your home this year, but home to some very special guests as well. You see, Hogwarts has been chosen. So Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event. The Triwzard Tournament. For those of you who do not know the Triwizard tournament brings together three schools for a series of magical contests. From each school, a single student is selected to compete. Now let me be clear. If chosen, you stand alone. And trust me when I say these contests are not for the faint hearted. But more of that late, for now please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of magic and their headmistress Madame Maxime."
The doors opened and these beautiful girls in blue entered the room. All the guys in the room, their jaws dropped. The girls came in dancing and singing. All the boys whistled and clapped so loud for them after they were done.
"And now our friends from the north. Please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang and their high master Igor Karkaroff."
These Viking like men entered the room, slamming their canes to the floor as they entered. All the woman drooled over them. Ella didn't though, she thought they were a bit much.
They did their own little show and the guy from the tournament was apart of the group, Victor Krum.
"Your attention please! I'd like to say a few words. Eternal glory. That is what awaits the student who wins the Triwizard tournament. But to do this, that student must survive three tasks. Three extremely dangerous tasks. For this reason, the ministry has seen fit to impose a new rule. To explain all this, we have the head of the department of international magical cooperation Mr Barteminus Crouch."
Lightening striked hard, everyone flinched. It began to rain in the dining hall. Everyone started to scream when a spell was casted to stop it.
All eyes went to the source. It was Mad Eye Moody.
"My dear old friend, thanks for coming," Dumbledore said shaking hands with him.
Moody mumbled, "stupid ceiling."
"After due consideration the ministry has concluded that for their own safety no student under the age of seventeen shall be allowed to put forth their name for the Triwizard tournament."
Everyone started to shout. They were furious.
"Silence!"
Dumbledore used his wand to get rid of the gold castle and under it was a gold goblet. Blue flames came out of it.
"The goblet of fire. Anyone wishing to submit themselves to the tournament need only write their name upon a piece of parchment and throw it in the flame before this hour on Thursday night. Do not do so lightly. If chosen, there's no turning back. As from this moment, the Triwizard tournament has begun."
