love you <3

"oh no, billie, you've got to be kidding me. a roller blade arena?! i've never roller bladed in my entire life!"

scared, i sat stiff in my seat even as billie made her way around to the other side and opened my door. i merely side-eyed her, refusing to budge an inch.

billie giggled. "shush, my love. you'll be fine, i promise," she took my hands and gently tugged, but i still didn't move.

she sighed and put her hands on her hips. "come on, bunny. if you aren't having fun after thirty minutes i'll take you home," she promised.

i shook my head, but she remained firm. "ten minutes," i bargained.

she chuckled again. "that's not enough time, sweetheart. here, how about this; twenty minutes and i won't let go of you until we're back here." she placed her hands on my thighs and smiled at me.

with a long, heavy sigh, so she knew i wasn't happy with this, i agreed half-heartedly.

"great, now c'mon, out!" i squealed as she scooped me up and dumped me on the pavement while shutting the door. i glared at her briefly but was cut off as she pressed her lips to mine.

i melted and attempted to deepen the kiss, but she chuckled lightly and pulled away. i chased her lips with my own, but she put her finger on them to stop me.

"now, now, don't get distracted. it's time to go skating," billie threw her head back with laughter as my face morphed from pleading to grumpy in about half a second.

she looped her arm around my waist and led my reluctant feet forward. inside, it was loud, bass pounding the walls and people screaming. i shifted a little closer to billie at the onslaught.

she led me to the front counter to get skates. nervously, i told the man my shoe size, and he handed me a pair of red roller blades. billies' were light blue.

"i hate blue," she complained loudly as she kneeled by my feet to help me get my skates on.

"he could've given me any other colour, but of course i get blue, my least favourite colour," she grumbled, while tightening the skates.

"why'd you dye your hair blue, then?" i teased as she sat next to me to put her own on.

she shrugged. "i dunno, i guess i just didn't register that i was a person with blue hair, y'know?"

now i shrugged and looked down, as billie had finished putting her last skate on and stood up.

she took my hands and helped me stand up. i wobbled and would have fallen over if she hadn't caught my waist first.

"this is terrifying, i'm done!" i tried to sit back down on the bench, but billie quickly pulled me onto the track.

i was stiff in her arms as she skated expertly. she laughed at my horrified expression.

"just try, babylove. c'mon, move this foot first...like that..."

she attempted to teach me how to move properly, but i gave up pretty fast and just clung to her arm instead.

"this is terrifying," i repeated with a whine. but whatever i said, billie still refused to give up, and a wide smile was still plastered on her face.

"no, it's not. here, hang on to my waist tightly, we're gonna go fast," she directed me to wrap my arms around her waist, ignoring my attempts at a protest. once she felt i was secure, she started to move forward.

she went slowly at first, to make sure i was going to be okay. but it didn't take long for her to build up speed. my face was frozen with terror, while billie stood up straight and pumped her fists in the air.

"whoooo hoooo! c'mon, gwen, isn't this awesome?!" she shouted over the music, glancing back at me.

i offered a weak smile. it wasn't as horrible as i was expecting, but i didn't want to distract her and end up tangled up on the floor.

billie took my smile as a positive sign and so she focused more on the track instead of me.

after a couple laps, i leaned into her ear. "can we please go take a break?" i asked sweetly, giving her wide, innocent eyes when she looked at me.

she placed a quick kiss on my cheek and took my hands to lead me to a bench off the track.

"so, are you having fun or should i take you home?" she asked playfully, placing her hands on my thighs so she could look me in the eyes.

"i guess we can stay a little longer," I allowed grudgingly

she cheered and suddenly leant forward to kiss me. i couldn't help but smile into her lips, causing her to do the same.

after, we skated for a while longer. i was finally beginning to get the hang of it, so i didn't need to hold onto billie anymore. i still wasn't nearly as fast as her, but she stayed with me, so it was okay.

we didn't leave until almost seven, when billie had declared she was too tired to keep skating and just wanted to go get take out and cuddle at home. i hadn't argued; in fact, i was surprised she was the one to say she was tired first. i'd been yawning and leaning on her shoulder for the past hour but she had seemed wide awake to me.

we stopped at a drive-thru for some food, billie let me get an extra-large fries, which i thanked her for at least four times until she told me to shut up. she had been smiling and laughing, though, so i wasn't in trouble.

at home, i flopped on the couch right away, sighing with relief as the tension was taken off of my sore legs and ankles. i heard billie chuckling quietly as she brought our food over and sat by me.

she brought my legs over her lap and took my shoes off for me. i let her only because i was enjoying laying on her, even if it was only my legs. it turned out that i hadn't needed to, though, when she pulled me onto her afterwards and let me use her boobs as a pillow.

"thanks for taking me to the roller rink, it was really fun," i mumbled into her shirt, yawning hugely.

she didn't respond, but i knew she was smiling without even having to look at her. i relished the feeling of her hands running through my hair as i laid on top of her.
