Chapter seven + Thank you

I felt like my brain had short-circuited, around me the scene moved fast. Drake was talking to his sister as I lay back down on the hospital bed. A young nurse, who I believe to be human started taking my temperature and lecturing me on what could of happened. I pretend to listen but my ears were glued to there conversation. Again all I could see was the incredible speed at which they both talked, human ears could only pick up high pitched murmurs. The nurse noticed my dismay as I stroked my hand where the vampire symbol was now rubbing off. I looked at drake then the nurse, she gave me a comforting face. I felt like she could be trusted. "umm.. Excuse me?" she gave a slight nod of the head, edging me to continue. " What are werewolves? ". She placed the palm of her hand by her ear and rubbed it slightly. As if what I just said was strange, at that moment I realized the murmuring had stopped. " Thank you but there is no need of your service, she seems to be in good health" ,The nurse bowed to drake then smiled at me before closing the door. I wonder how long ago it was that she saw a human.

" No humans know of the werewolves, only some of us pure blood vampires do, you see.." he was then cut off my his sister. " Let me drake. my name is Angelina drakes sister" i gave a nod, she creased her nose up at me."Well you see ,lucy. When we took the run down world from the humans, it wasn't only vampires who wanted to replenish the world to what she once was. There was groups of us, of course us the vampires but werewolves as well. We originally worked together slowly to gain control, though when we deciding how the earth would be run, arguments broke out. Causing battles to happen through out the world. The casualties were high for all supernatural beings. So in the end it was decided that sections would be divided up and given to each group. Everyone pledged that no supernatural being would step into another's territory without their governments approval. No vampire can go into another supernaturals territory, got that lucy?" i tried to sink all the information in. Drake began apologizing, though I couldn't hear him. My ears were ringing and my palms began to sweat. I pressed the palm of my hand into my eyes until I just saw sparkles. I then felt warmth huddle around my body, causing my skin to tingle. I opened my eyes to see drake embracing me, I didn't reject him. In fact I welcomed him. Angelina watched us uncomfortably," how dirty, i'll leave you to that" she grabbed the handle but left the door open just so her face still peered through. " Lucy remember, vampires can't go". With that she closed the door, I could feel her presence fade as she walked away. I knew what I had to do.

Drake played with my hair and drew on my skin playfully. "Drake, what's a werewolf? "He filled his lungs then breathed out a gust of air." There like humans, though they have more strength and are faster, they have strong senses like us at the right time. Also the reason there called werewolves is because, on a full moon their powers maximize. There body's transform into what we know as wolves.". Only full moon, as long as they don't have a full moon there just like a human but really strong. It can't be that bad, my plan started building up in my mind. All I needed was a way in, I sat there smugly. " Lucy, Another reason that werewolves don't leave their territory, is that they've perfected a way of giving the effects of the full moon with only an injection but it only works in certain areas.Their to be feared" i wasn't giving up."They said that about vampires, here I am now being comforted by one." If I can befriend a vampire, i can befriend a werewolf. I did add the last bit, scared of the effects it would cause. "Lucy please, I just want you to stay alive".

I perked up after that, drake began playing games. Like I spy, it reminded me of my sister. Which set a warm feeling off in my chest. If only drake weren't a walking corpse. The nurse then returned with a lovely cuisine, tastier then food at home. After munching away and forcing a carrot down drakes mouth, ending up with him nearly being sick, I was requested to rest. Again we were alone, this time a heavy atmosphere filled the air. The world stopped around me, the only sound was are breath. He placed his hand on my chest " You have no idea how much I love the sound of your heart beating. Though that heart won't beat for ever, while my consciousness will live forever.I want you to think about that for me."

"whaa...." Before i could reply, his lips crushed mine sending a tingle through my lips. My lips didn't respond, i couldn't do this while my sister could be dead right now. He pulled away, I opened my mouth to speak but again he crashed his mouth into mine. I lay there with my eyes open, trying to push him off of me. When he finally pulled away, he watched me as I lay there eyes to the roof. "I'm sorry lucy" he stumbled off the bed hopelessly. Before he could get away I pulled my body to his, as his body was like a brick wall. " its not like I don't like you drake, i do its just i" he began patting my head again like when we had just met. " its fine lucy, i understand. And next time I'll wait for you to ask me to bite you instead" he winked cheekily at me. The heavy atmosphere was gone and I lay down to rest as drake went out the door " oh by the way, Your not going in to the werewolves territory alone, you don't want to be dead just yet." i grunted and I threw a pillow towards him. His reflexes were told fast and before I knew it I was sleeping with a thousand feathers around me. Even if he suspected my plan, I would still see it through.

I woke up many times that night, mainly because of the nightmares. In my dream I wore a soldiers armory, my body felt light and flexible. I was marching in mud at night , people dressed the same marched with me. Some carried flags while some rode on horses. Everyone was different, they all were of different ages. Some as young as fourteen, some men, some women. Though one thing similar was their beauty, all shocking to the eye. Even in a dream.

Before I knew it the march had stopped and we stood before a massive wave similar to the amount of people armored here. As the wave came closer I could distinguish between figures, like are group there were all different. The two groups watched each other, until an arrow from are side made someone fall. The two groups ran at each other ripping everything apart. Beasts resembling wolfs flung them selfs at the what I believe to be a vampire.Even killing someone like them.The moon began to fade under red clouds, everything bled. Before my mind could make up its self up it was too late, a wolf had spotted me in the horizon. It came at a incredible speed, knocking anything out of the way. Stepping on helpless bodies of its own kind. I did what any logical person would do. I ran. To not good use the beast caught my arm and dangled me from it. The smell of salt and rust filled the air, bringing me back to reality.

I woke to Drake standing over me, patting my head with a towel." i didn't know you were this ill, let me get the nurse" i grabbed his arm before he could escape. Revealing a bite mark throbbing on my arm, his eyes began changing back to the red colour like before . I hid my arm under the sheets, but he was overwhelmed. I couldn't tell if he was hungry or angry. With his teeth clench he let out a low growl, slowly his eyes changed back to yellow. " Lucy where's that bite from?". I held my arm under the covers with my eyes squeezed together. " A dream" Now drakes eyes were a crimson, this time it was anger. He made his way to the door."Drake, where are you going?"

my eyes were all blurred as salty water streamed down. "What do you think Angelina's power is!"
