Chapter 6

Rose's POV

It's been 4 days since I've seen Dally. I do have to admit I was kind of disappointed. I havn't seen the gang since Friday. I have been seeing Pony and Johnny in school a lot though, so we all have grown close. I have become good friends with Cherry and Marcia as well.

I grabbed my bag out my locker and headed outside. I looked for Two's car, but my eyes fell on a car that looked just like Dally's. I got a little closer to the car and I saw none other then Dallas in the car smiling. I smiled and walked to his car. I opened his car door and got in.

I looked over at him happy, but confused. "Hey Dal, what are you doing here?"

"Hey baby, just couldn't go another day without seeing you." This made me blush.

He started the car and began driving very fast.

"Dally slow down, you're driving like a madman." I shouted at him. "Where are you even taking me?"

He slowed down a little and looked at me with a smirk. "You'll see."

He continued driving until we ended up at a place that looked like a park. My eyes lit up and I looked over at Dally with a big smile. He stopped the car and opened my door. I jumped out excitedly. Dally closed the door and turned to look at me.

I grabbed his hand and pulled him on the playground.

"Are you always excited?" He asked me as I pulled him to the slide.

I laughed. "Not always, but right now my inner kid is coming out." We both ran up the stairs to the slide and once we made it there, I let go of his hand and looked at him.

"Come on, we can go down together." I said grabbing his hand again.

"How are we gonna both fit?" He asked sitting down.

"I'll make it work." I wanted to sit in between Dally's legs, but that didn't work. I just ended up sitting on Dally's lap. I placed my hands on his leg and I felt him wrap his arms around my waist. I felt my heart speed up and all of the butterflies in my stomach were now going crazy.

"Ready?" Dally whispered in my ear. I felt chills go down my spine.

"Ready as I'll ever be." I said tightening my grip on his leg.

Dally pushed off and we went down the slid really fast. Once we made it to the bottom we got up and I decided to have a little fun.

"TAG your it." I said touching Dally's arm and running away. I heard him laugh.

"No fair, you got a head start!" He yelled running after me.

Not long after I got tackled to the ground. I opened my eyes and came face to face with Dally. Our faces were inches away from each others. I could feel his warm breath on my face. We both just stared into each other's eyes. I never noticed before, but his eyes looked as blue as the ocean.

Dally's eyes flickered from my eyes to my lips. I found myself doing the same. Dally started leaning in and I couldn't stop myself from doing the same. Soon the space between us closed and our lips touched. His lips were soft and welcoming.

Our lips moved in sync. Dally tasted so good I didn't want to pull away. I put my hand in his hair and he put his hand on the side of my face. Every inch of me was exploding. Something electric inside me was set off. His lips were hungry for mine, I could just feel it.

When we pulled away a goofy grin was plastered on my face. He gave me a smirk and he pulled me up to my feet.

"Before we leave, we have to go on the swings." I said grabbing his hand and pulling him.

I got on the swing and started swinging my legs to get the rhythm going. I looked to my left and saw that the swing was broken. I stopped myself and stood up. I motioned for Dally to got on, but he just stood there.

"Swings are not really for me." He said licking his lips.

"Ah come on, it will be fun. Do it for me, pleaseeeeeeee." I said making sad face.

"Alright alright." He said getting on the swing. I sat on his lap and held onto the chains. Dally put one hand on the chain and one around my waist.

I looked up at the sky as it began to mix colors. It was pink, orange, yellow, and blue. It was all beautiful.

"Y'know I've never watched a sunset." He said putting his head on my shoulder.

I sighed "Aren't they so beautiful?"

"Not as beautiful as you." He said making me look at him. I smiled and repositioned myself. Now I was sitting sideways with my head on his shoulder. Dally sighed and sounded like he needed to say something.

"Rose?" He asked in a whisper.

"Yes?" I asked with my eyes closed.

"I know I've only known you for a few days, but I feel like I've known you for years. You are an amazing girl. This may be early, but will you be my girlfriend?"

I sat up and looked at Dally. My mind was struggling to process what I just heard. Did he just ask me to be his girlfriend? I didn't know if I was happy or sad. Part of me desperately wanted to be with him, and the other part of me kept saying no. I felt like I was battling myself. My head was telling me Dally was going to break my heart, I shouldn't trust him, this was not a good idea. However my heart was telling me that he is really handsome, he is becoming a better person because of me, that he truly wants to be with me.

Suddenly everything I've heard about Dally didn't seem so true. He broke up with his girlfriend for me. He bought me flowers. He helped me escape. He picked me up from school. He took me to the park. He danced in rain with me. A person who was mean, cold, didn't care about anyone, would not do this, but that is what people made Dally seem to be. He treats me differently then other people, a good different. But to be his girlfriend...I would have to love him. Could I really love him? There was something inside me that made me think he forgot what love felt like. And that was when I decided I would have to be the one to show him again.

"Yes." I said looking at him with a smile.

I saw his whole face light up and he pulled me in for another kiss. This kiss was long and loving. When we pulled away Dally took my hand and slipped his ring on my finger. I looked at it and a smile crept across my face. (Y'all this is actually me in the book...JK)

"Come on, its getting late." I said getting up. Dally got up and intertwined our fingers. We walked back to his car and drove back to my house. Dally had his hand on my thigh and I just listened to the radio. Sometimes I would sneak little peaks at my new ring.

Once we made it back to my house. Dally got out and quickly came and opened my door. I smiled and got out the car. We walked up to my door and I looked at him. Deja Vu.

"You never fail to surprise me Winston." I said looking up at him.

"What can I say, I am a mysterious guy." He said with a smirk.

"Yea okay, I'm guessing I'll see you soon then, bye Dal." I said giving him a peck on the lips.

"Bye Rose." He said smiling.

I got in the house and locked the door. I am really Dal's girlfriend!...
