The Hale family was in the abandoned underground station, where they had taken up temporary housing as the Hale house wasn't safe for them anymore.
They were discussing a next possible Beta. "Talulah! Derek!" Isaac's voice yelled in a panic as he ran down the staircase, alerting the family as they all ran out of the wrecked train car to meet him. "Sweetheart, what happened?" Talulah asks him, concerned. "My Dad. I... I think he's dead" The new Beta tells them, gravely, making Talulah and the twins cover their mouths in shock, while Derek gave him an accusing scowl. "What did you do?" The Alpha demands. "That's the thing, it wasn't me" Isaac replies, honestly.
Talulah's heart clenched as she saw the boy's traumatised and heartbroken expression.
She knew that Lahey's death was long overdue and he deserved to suffer, but at the end of the day, he was still Isaac's Dad and she understood that.
She'd be lying if she said that her own father deserved his fate and she didn't mourn him.
Yes, Giuseppe wasn't the best father, but he was still hers.
She approached the curly-haired teen, wrapping an arm around him. "Come on, Sweetface, let's get you cleaned up" She says in a tone, only a mother could muster as she guides him into the train car with Lily following, leaving Derek and Dylan out in the station to watch as the vampire cared for the baby werewolf as if he was one of her own.
