At a small, yet popular bar in New York, an extremely handsome young man was standing at the bar with a glass of bourbon in front of him.
He had yet to drink it as he pondered the past couple of years and today was specifically depressing day for him.
His attention was then drawn to the doors as an impossibly beautiful woman walked in, gaining the attention of many other men, but she ignored them.
The man couldn't help, but watch as the woman strutted in, looking like she owned the world.
He loved the way her tight, black dress hugged her perfect figure, how her long, straight black hair flowed around her like an aura, how her dark red lips complimented her smooth skin tone.
Of all places in the bar the woman could station herself, she happened to stand beside the man and order herself a martini.
Once getting her drink, she took a sip and glanced at the man as he glanced at her.
He sent her a small grin that she returned.
"I've never seen you around here before" The man noted, striking up a conversation, which he normally wouldn't do.
"Just passing through. I've heard many amazing things about New York, thought I'd come and see it for myself" She replies, turning her head to face him.
"It's not so bad, despite the fact that I don't like big cities" The man says, looking her in the eye.
"Small town breed?" The woman asks him with a smile.
"Yeah. Small town in California" He answers with a smile.
"I'm from a small town in Virginia. Tell me it's not destiny that we both come from two small towns and happen to be in the same city, at the same bar, at this exact moment" The woman tells him with a cheeky smile.
"I don't believe in destiny" He states, dropping his smile.
"Destiny's done nothing, but screw with me, but I still hope it can turn around" She says, moving a bit of her hair out of her face.
"What made you leave your town?" The man asks, finally taking a sip of his drink.
"Family drama. I've got two brothers that are constantly fighting and forcing me to pick sides, but I can't pick when I love them both and they're both in the wrong" She answers, taking another sip of her drink.
"Sounds rough. What are they fighting about?" The man asks, curiously.
"What all young men fight over; a girl" She replies with a sigh.
"Oh" He breathes out.
"I never liked her. I knew from the moment she stepped into our lives, she was gonna be trouble and ruin both of my brothers. And I was right. My older twin brother's mad at our younger brother for being the reason she's now gone and my younger brother's mad at my twin because he thinks she chose him. Truth is, she was just a selfish, manipulative bitch, playing with both of them, driving them apart and I hope she rots in hell" The woman reveals, making the man look at her, surprised.
