A week later.
It was just past midnight at the Hale house.
The family was fast asleep, until their enhanced hearing caught the sound of gun shots, immediately waking them all up.
Derek and Talulah jumped out of bed, quickly getting dressed as the twins rushed in. "You heard that, right?" Lily asks them, urgently. "We're gonna go check it out" Talulah tells them, pulling on her boots.

Dylan nods. "Ok, give us a minute" He says, but Derek grabs his shoulder. "No, you're both staying here" He states, making Lily give him an incredulous look. "Daddy, you might need help" She insists. "I don't care about me. I want you to stay out of the Argent's radar" He declares, not letting them argue with him. "Look after each other. We'll be back before sun up" Talulah tells her children, kissing their cheeks and vamp speeds herself and Derek out to the danger zone. (Get it?)
They made it to where they heard the gun shots coming from and immediately smelled blood.
Finding a patch of fresh blood on the ground, they sniff the blood then look up to the roof of a building, seeing a large, savage beast.
The Alpha.
It looked at them for a moment before taking off, but the couple weren't letting it escape.
They chased after it as it jumped to another roof.
Using her vampire speed and agility, Talulah launched herself into the air and Derek followed, but got shot in the arm in midair, causing him to fall to the ground.
Talulah landed on the next roof, but quickly turned around, looking over the edge with worry, seeing her husband writhing on the ground in agony.
Without wasting a second, she jumped off the roof, landing on her feet in front of Derek and crouched down to help him sit up against the brick wall. "Derek?" She quietly called his name in concern as he panted in pain. "Dad?" They heard a familiar voice call, worried and turned their heads to the right to see their son approaching, looking worried. "Dylan! We told you to stay home" Talulah scolds him as he crouches beside her, looking at his agonised Dad. "Have I ever been known to sit still during action?" He asks, rhetorically, making his mother sigh in annoyance.
