Pulling the old clunker off the main road, I maneuver the old piece of junk down a more narrow road. clunk clunk clunk CLUNK!
I swear with how this old piece of junks engine is clunking deliriously, the engine will soon burn out. Or worse get me into a car accident. I know it's about time to finally lay the old bastard to rest, in the junkyard to serve it's fate as spare parts. but I can't seem to bare the thought of trading him in, even if he is the gas guzzler of the century. he has fatefully been by my side throughout the years, even when I first got him when I was just a cop working his normal beat.
Blinding Neon yellow tape that warns do not cross, lies just ahead as I begin to pull off the narrow road into the more spacious area of the field where the body was discovered early this frostbitten morning.
maneuvering the old bastard to a slow and steady stop, is far easier said then done. SCREECH! I grimace as the sound of the rusted door, hits my inner ear at my horrid attempt of opening the rusted door.
"Slow and steady Parker, slow and steady." Sliding out of the cracked leather seat, I push past the sea of bodies, that are containing the crime scene.
lights flash in a continued pattern, painting the scene in hues of red and blue, straining against the neon yellow of the police tape. Sirens silenced, so all that you hear is the crunch of dead grass under foot.
People remained hunched over, the remains of their previously digested food no longer able to be retained, in their stomachs from what they have bore witness to.
Privet's stands, just on the outskirts of the tape a grizzled look settles upon his face, one I know all to well from seeing it over the years.
He slowly turns to face me as I slide down the pathway, when our eyes meet cerulean eyes that appear sunken in look at me horror swimming in their depths.
"He's back Park, he is back." was all he could manage to say, before he to was no longer able to retain his meal.
