Bria's POV

I heard my alarm go off and I glanced at the clock. 7.45 am. Shit. I got up and got ready for school. My mom had left for work already. I grabbed an apple from the kitchen and left for school. When I arrived there, I started looking for Sarah. Sarah is my best friend. We've known each other for a very long time, nearly our whole life. Finally, I found her at her locker, and we walked together to our first classroom. Thomas was waiting for us outside the math classroom. Thomas Dieblo. My other best friend. We've known each other for 16 years, which means our whole life.

"What took you guys so long?" Thomas asked and frowned

"Sorry I was still asleep 15 minutes ago!" I spoke

"Bria! Guess what!! We have new students" Sarah nearly yelled.

"Calm down Sarah!" I chuckled before Mrs Fens came to let us into the classroom. Unfortunately, I sat alone in math class. I went to my place and sat down. Mrs Fens started speaking

"Ok, class. So as some of you might know, we have new students. I hope you welcome them here warmly! Here's your new classmate, Georgia" she said and looked at the girl I hadn't noticed. She was stunning. She had light brown hair, and her eyes were bright blue. She smiled at us and introduced herself.

"Hello! I'm Georgia Hamilton!"

"Where did you move from Georgia?" Mrs Fens asked

"I moved from London," Georgia said and smirked as if it was funny.

"Georgia, you can sit next to Bria" Mrs Fens pointed at me, and Georgia walked to me and sat next to me. We started working.

I haven't told you everything about the place I live in. This is a small town called Websburg. It might seem like life here is usual, but it's not. Because here lives vampires and demons, mostly vampires. I've studied them in my free time and I'm the "vampire slayer". There's a real vampire slayer, but she's not here and someone needs to keep this town safe, so I've taken the job. I like it.

So, after I explained some shit to you, let's return to my math class. After the class, I turned to Georgia.

"Hi, umm so I'm Bria. Would you want me to show you around the school?" I asked nervously.

"Yes, that'd be lovely!" Georgia said and smiled. We left the classroom and walked around the school as I showed her where everything was.

"So, you moved from London?" I asked curiously

"Yes"

"Are you from London?"

"No, actually I'm from Paris," Georgia said and smirked again that weird smirk...

"That sounds cool! Why did your family move, if I can ask?" I asked

"My parents are dead actually, I moved with my sister, Romessa, because I wanted better education," she said, not bothered by my questions.

"I'm sorry for your loss...." I said concerned.

"Don't worry, it's alright. What about you, Bria, where are you from?" She looked at me. There was something elegant about her that made her look like royalty, even when she was wearing a hoodie and ripped jeans. That elegancy made me nervous.

"Oh, I'm from Websburg. My mom is from France and my dad is from Spain though" I shrugged.

"So, do you have siblings?"

"Yeah, a half-brother. My parents are divorced, and my dad has a new wife, and they have a son, Matteo. He's 6 now" I said and sighed.

Georgia frowned. "Don't you like your brother?" she asked.

"No, it's not about it... it's just... ugh... I just don't like Anne, Matteo's mom, and my dad's new wife...." I shrugged.

"Oh, I see... I'm sorry for you, it must not be easy." she smiled empathically.

"It's fine, don't worry. So, you have a sister huh? How old is she?" I asked to change the subject.

"Romessa is 15 at the moment," Georgia said and looked like she was holding her laugh.

"So only one year younger than you? Seems nice."

"Yeah, it is, she is an amazing little sister..." Georgia smiled sadly.

"Umm, if I can ask how your parents died...?" I asked cautiously.

"My mother died of cancer and my father died in a car crash when I was 5 years old," Georgia answered, not bothered about my questions at all.

"I'm sorry for your loss Georgia..." I spoke.

"It's fine. Oh, grab, look at the time. We got to hurry if we want to get to our next classes on time." she said quickly.

"Oh right! Umm, what class do you have next?" I asked.

"I have Spanish class next."

"Me too! Let's go, I'll show you the way." I smiled. Georgia made me feel weird... like I was happy all the time... I didn't know what it was... but it felt good.
