Bria's POV
I woke up from the couch. Someone had put a blanket over me. I stretched and remembered last night. Shiver ran through my spine. I saw the blood again. Everywhere. I smelled it. I felt like throwing up so I ran to the bathroom and immediately threw up in the toilet. I heard running steps from the stairs and mom came to the bathroom.
"Brie! What happened?" she shouted at me, not angry just worried. I couldn't tell her where I had been last night so instead, I just said:
"I ate something bad at school, it's nothing to be worried about."
Mom glared at me and looked sceptical.
"Alright... well I have to rush to work now. Take care of yourself," she said, kissed me on my forehead and left. I got up and washed my face. I had yesterday's clothes on so I went upstairs to change and then I checked the time. 7.50 am. I was completely late. I couldn't eat anything so I just left for school, running the whole way. I arrived at school the same second when the bell rang. I was panting when I arrived at my locker. I quickly ran to my first class, which was English. I saw Thomas, Sarah and Georgia sitting in the last row. I went to them and sat next to Thomas.
"Someone is nearly late," Sarah said, looking at me worriedly.
"I'm fine Sarah, don't worry."
The teacher came to class and we quickly quit our little chitchat. The lesson went by pretty fast. We went to our lockers, where we met Diana.
"Morning pals," she said smiling. I just smiled, I couldn't say anything. I remembered last night. The crypt. Diana looked at me worried.
"Bria? You alright?" she asked. I just nodded. She smiled at me emphatically. The day went past quickly. Gladly it was Friday. I didn't have dad weekend and we intended to have a sleepover at Sarah's place. We were chatting about it at the cafeteria.
"Diana and Georgia, you should come too!" Sarah almost screamed with excitement. We all laughed.
"It sounds cool though, I can ask my aunt if I can come," Diana said and Sarah's eyes started to shine even more.
"Well, I can come too, but could I bring Romessa with me?" Georgia questioned.
"Of course! She can bring Jonathan too if she wants!" Sarah said with a big smile. Georgia chuckled.
"I don't think I want Jonathan there," she whispered and rolled her eyes. I giggled and she looked at me. I turned away quickly.
"It's a deal then! Tomorrow at my place!" Sarah said.
We were walking to biology class when Diana pulled me aside.
"How are you feeling? Like really?" she said very seriously. I sighed.
"Not so great honestly. I was so horrified yesterday. I- I need time to process it all." I said with a shaking voice. Diana nodded.
"Of course, I get it. I'll go patrolling tonight. I'll see how the crypt looks now. I talked to Gabrielle this morning. She said that she'll ask a couple of people about this. She thinks it might be some kind of a ritual." Diana said with a heavy voice. I just nodded. I vampire ritual that contained some kind of bloodshed disgusted me. We went to our last lesson.
Diana's POV
At 10 pm I left the house and walked to the cemetery. I went to the crypt, it looked the same as yesterday. I left the crypt and wandered around the cemetery. Hours went by and I saw only one vampire, who I killed without a problem. I was looking at one gravestone when I heard I light snap behind me. I turned around immediately. And there she was. Sitting on a gravestone, like it was something everyone did in their spare time.
