Bria's POV
I woke up the next morning.
I blinked at the bright sunlight that flooded in through the large windows. I looked around. Last night's party people were sleeping here and there. A boy was sleeping next to me on the couch, he was probably in college.
I got up and headed toward Sarah's room. It was upstairs and when I opened the door, Sarah was sleeping on her bed wearing yesterday's party dress and high heels. Thank God no one was lying next to her, for example, a guy without clothes.
I quietly closed the door behind me and headed for the bathroom. I got there and locked the door. I leaned against the sink and stared at myself in the mirror. My makeup was spread and my hair was messed up. I stared at myself in the mirror and let the events of last night flood my mind. Carlos had been there, we talked and Georgia had also been there.
Georgia. I. The dim light of the living room. Georgia smelled like some expensive perfume and cigarettes. Her lips against mine.
My eyes widened. No. No no no. Did I kiss her? I sat on the bathroom floor. I experienced my first kiss with a girl yesterday. Drunk. At my best friend's house. I tried to steady my breathing. Oh no.
What did Georgia think of this? Had she left because she couldn't bear to look at me? DID she HATE me?
Tears ran down my cheeks. I cried silently. I don't know how long. Then the door opened. I quickly wiped my tears and looked up.
"Why are you crying?" asked a familiar voice. It was in Romessa.
"I'm not crying" I replied and looked down, trying to hide my face that was red from crying.
"Yes, you are crying," Romessa sat next to me and looked at me sadly. "Why?" she asked again. I took a deep breath and decided to tell everything that happened yesterday.
How I kissed her sister.
How it felt to me now.
Romessa looked at me empathetically. "You think she hates you?" She asked. I nodded. She chuckled a little "She doesn't hate you, Georgia is just, well, a difficult person." I looked her in the eyes.
"She doesn't hate me?" I asked surprised.
"Of course not. I know she wants to get to know you and be your friend, she never had many friends and now she hopes she has you. I'm so glad about it. She deserves a good friend, even if she doesn't think so herself."
I looked at her. "Why does she think she doesn't deserve a good friend?"
Romessa looked away. "You'll have to ask her"
I nodded.
"Well Bria, get up," she said and stood up herself.
She took me downstairs to the kitchen where she had made coffee. I sat at the table. She gave me a cup of coffee. I drank it gratefully.
"Thank you," I said weakly. I heard footsteps behind me and turned to see who it was. It was Thomas.
"Bria is everything alright?" he asked worriedly.
"I am, it's okay."
"You've cried?" I nodded with a sigh.
Thomas sat next to me. He didn't ask anymore. It was one of his most lovable qualities. He didn't ask because he knew when I didn't want to talk.
We ate breakfast and then went to the living room to watch TV. Many other guests also started to wake up. They went to have breakfast and many left. Thomas and I sat on the couch next to each other and watched SpongeBob SquarePants.
I leaned on his shoulder and fell asleep again.
