Bria's POV

It had been a week since Sarah's party and my and Georgia's kiss. We had seen each other at school but not anywhere else. She hadn't mentioned the kiss.

I was on my way to French class. Sarah or Thomas didn't do French, so I was alone. I sat in my usual place and opened my book. I checked my homework when someone sat next to me. I looked at them. Shit. It was Georgia.

"Hello, is it alright if I sit here? There are no more empty seats" She questioned politely.

"Uhm, sure... I mean why not, of course!!" I answered quickly. Georgia sat down and took her book from her bag.

"Umm... I didn't know you do French?" I asked to start a conversation.

"Oh, yes, I speak it fluently. My parents talked French and English to me when I was younger."

"Oh cool!" I said and turned to my book; I knew I was blushing.

She turned to her textbook.

The class began and we started working. I didn't pay much attention in class; Georgia was too beautiful. The way she spoke French, oh my god she sounded too amazing.

When the bell rang Georgia left immediately. I stayed in my seat. She clearly didn't want to talk...

"Mom! I'm home!" I finally made it home. The school day had been long, and I was exhausted.

I went to the kitchen where I found my mom, Audrey Mehendo. She was working, as always. She was a lawyer and worked 24/7. Now, she looked as exhausted as I did. I went to hug her.

"Oh, hey Brie. How was school?" She looked away from her computer, and I saw the dark circles around her eyes.

"It was alright mam. What about you? You look pretty tired?" I said with concern.

"I'm alright mon chérie, i promise." She smiled tiredly.

"You sure...?"

"Yes. there are some leftovers in the fridge." Mom said and got back to work.

I nodded and went to the fridge and took some bouillabaisse. My favorite food. I put it in the microwave and went to the living room to eat and watch "Riverdale".

It was midnight. I wasn't sleeping. I couldn't.

Tomorrow was Friday. I would have to go to my dad's place. Mom had some important work things in New York, so she'd be away for the weekend. And I had father weekend anyways. I didn't want to go. Anne, my stepmom didn't necessarily like me...

I pushed bad things away and took my stuffed cat, Miquel. I loved it. My aunt, Samantha, bought it for me from Australia when I was little.

I hugged Miquel and finally fell asleep.

Here's a new part, finally! Enjoy!
