So far the first day of school has been going good..but also bad.My classes are hard to find, people are so slow in the hallways, and I keep on going in circles.
But I have at least a few of my friends in most of my classes. I'm in my last period of the day which is World History, I have with my friend Nancy. While we are doing an online survey about ourselves and hobbies, the intercom comes on and our Principal, Mr. Sal, speaks.
"Students, please report to the gym for an announcement from me, our counselors, and staff" He announces.
Our teacher tells us to close our computers and to start heading to the gym. Me and Nancy walk side by side and eventually spot Abby, Matthew, and Sarah in the hallway coming towards us.
"Hey guys" Matthew greets
"Hi" Nancy says back
"So what do you think Mr. Sal is going to talk to us about?" He asks
"Probably that same thing as last year. Do good this year, join clubs, and don't bully" I reply back to him
"Probably" Sarah agrees
We head inside the gym and spot a few of our other friends. We find a spot on the bleachers for us to sit at and wait for the principal to start talking. In the gym, there are bleachers on each side of the gym, so the whole school should have a spot to sit at.
After all the students get settled into the gym, Mr. Sal starts to speak on the microphone.
"Students, this year will be another great year here at Finland High School. We will bring home another championship from our football team and we will succeed in final exams. I want each and everyone of you guys to make a difference in your life and in others life" He goes on and I start to drift away from his voice.
It's been a long day. I'm feeling tired and I just really want to go home and sleep. I start to get the feeling of eyes on me and I look around me to find out who it is or if I'm just hallucinating. I look straight ahead of me to the other bleachers across from the gym and make eye contact with someone who I thought was gone from my life for good. I never thought I would get to see him again, never in a million years.

We first met in Elementary school. We were in thrid grade and we meet in Choir. Back then, I used to think that I could sing like Ariana Grande (But in middle school, I realized that I was being stupid). He could not take his eyes off me, he would always try to impress me and get my attention. One day, he had asked me to be his girlfriend and me, being the innocent and dumb child that I was, I said yes. Two weeks later, I broke up with him because who the hell dates in elementary.
Fast forward to Middle school, I see him again and once again is trying to get my attention. He asks me to be his girlfriend again and I say yes, again. Like I said, I was (and still am) dumb. One month later, my friends tell me he's been flirting with them and other girls in the school. So I break up with him. He left in the middle of 6th grade to a different school in town and since then I've never seen him.
Until now.
He smiles at me and waves. My arm decides to move by itself and I wave back to him. I feel someone nuge me on my arm and turn to Abby.
"Who are you waving at?" She asks, looking in the same direction as me and trying to see who I'm waving at.
"No one" I answer
"So your waving at Casper?" She asks sarcastically
"Yes" I answer back
"Whatever" She says and turns her head back to one of the counselors who is now getting a turn to talk after the principal.
