Crowley's signing documents when a demon walks up to him and says, "Majesty. I beg you to speak with her." Crowley says, "What now?" The demon says, "Your mother remains... vixed with your highness and vents her frustration by abusing the court. No one dares to retaliate, of course, and, yes, one expects to suffer in hell, but I fear I've reached my limit. To wit..." The demon turns around because there's a face on the back of his head and it speaks, "I mean, seriously." Crowley sighs and hands his documents to the demon next to him and he yells, "Mother!" Rowena walks in and sighs, "Yes, your royal highness?" Crowley says, "You care to comment?" Rowena looks at the demon and she chuckles and says, "Magnificent work by an astonishing talent. Mm, brava! I always said you were two-faced." The demon walks away, and Crowley says, "Look, mommy, enough. I know you're annoyed with me." Rowena says, "Annoyed? No, Fergus. I'm devastated, betrayed and brokenhearted." Crowley says, "Because I wouldn't go begging to a bunch of witches on your behalf?" Rowena says, "The grand coven is the supreme command of all witchcraft. Without their sanction, their sanction, I'm forbidden to practice!" Crowley says, "Forgive me. I hadn't notice you'd stopped." Rowena says, "That? Parlor trick. I'm capable of greatness. Given free reign, I'd be unstoppable." Crowley says, "I'm this close to throwing you back into that dungeon." Rowena says, "Of course. Why not? Why do anything but cause me more pain? Bad enough that you wouldn't intervene with Olivette and the coven, but you went directly against my wishes, siding with those Winchesters, refusing to kill them, then delivering the first blade into their hands, which you know could slaughter us all. You prefer them to your own flesh and blood. It's a bitter pill, Fergus, after all I've done for you." Crowley says, "And what exactly would that be?" Rowena walks closer to Crowley and says, "I gave you life, Fergus. Without me, sunshine, you wouldn't exist." Rowena walks away and does a spell and says, "Albeit!" Rowena breaks her sons lights and alcohol.

Meanwhile with Liz and Dean, they're on the road and Dean says, "All right, so, I'm thinking, uh, curse, maybe." Liz is on her phone texting an old friend if they know anything about the Mark of Cain and Dean looks at Liz and says, "Liz, a little help here, okay? I'm trying to stay busy here. You know, eye on the ball, not on the Mark. And this a case until we know it's not." Liz says, "Yeah, of course. So, three suicides, two weeks." Dean says, "They're not just suicides. They gutted themselves. And they took their sweet time doing it. I mean, that had to be incredibly painful. I can't seem to find any link between the vics, either." Liz looks back at her phone and says, "Yeah, it could be a curse." Dean looks at Liz because he's notices she's distracted with whatever's on the phone.
