Jungkook was sitting at the breakfast table awaiting one of the maids to come and get his request for breakfast, having already woken up and had his shower and put on a simple HBA hoodie with dark blue jean pants, nothing too special but then again why should it be, he had never felt the need to flaunt money as most kids did, he preferred to keep a low profile at school, though he was popular with most every one he had only one close friend he could trust with his life.
"Jungkook, sir, what would you like to have for breakfast this morning?" said a young lady with short blond hair and had a bit of an accent with her Korean, he assumed she was the maid in training from America that Jungkook had heard about briefly from his parents who, if Jungkook remembers correctly goes my the name Amber, but Jungkook never payed much mind to names.
"Pancakes" Jungkook said simply to the maid who quickly scurried off, his answer was short as usual, but he didn't feel the need to make unnecessary conversation. His parents had taught him that if it won't make money, or friends then don't say it.
Jungkook's parents owned one of the largest company's in Korea, so of course, with Jungkook being an only child his parents expected him to take over the company when he graduated so they sheltered him his entire life, he had always been forced to go to private schools and had never been allowed to go and play with anyone like most children, his parents always made the excuse of 'it's dangerous' or 'you need to study today you can't.'
Jungkook was snapped out of his thoughts when a plate of five pancakes was set on his table "Here you are sir, I hope you enjoy" said the lady as she gave a polite smile, a small nod of acknowledgement and a simple "Thank you" was all the lady got as a reply. Jungkook slowly ate all of his pancakes, he wasn't one to be rude and leave food, but he knew he would regret it later that day.
He set out the door, closing the door and locking it, though he knew no one would dare break into a house that looked like it was worth more than the entire Asian continent, Jungkook set off on foot to school, he had always liked to walk to school since it gives a better opportunity to see all the beautiful sights one would normally miss in a car, it gave Jungkook a sense of freedom he rarely ever got to experience, and he loved it.
He arrived at the huge school, as he walked into the gates he heard some one yelling his name "Kookie!..... Jungkook!"
Jungkook turned around, looking behind him, only to see his best friend of 10 years, Taehyung, was the one yelling his name, drawing the attention of the whole school in the process, as soon as Taehyung got close enough he ran up and bear hugged Jungkook, still panting from his run he breath out with a bit of a whine "I missed you Kookie, it's been Foorreveeer since we last met up or even spoke!"
Jungkook sighed, trying to hide his embarrassed blush muttering out "Tae, we talked for 3 hours on the phone last night and we went and had MC Donald's last week, you are so dramatic, and please stop yelling, it draws too much attention."
" Buttttt Kookie" Taehyung said with a small pout playing at his lips "You know I—" Taehyung was talking until something caught his eye, and that something goes by the name Hoseok.
"Uh, gotta go Kookie" Taehyung then ran off without waiting for a reply from Jungkook, Jungkook just gave a small sigh, thinking to himself that his friend was still as much of a 4D alien as when they met back in elementary, but he didn't necessarily mind, since that was what initially drew him to Taehyung, recalling the memory brought a small smile to Jungkook's lips.
Jungkook slowly trudged toward the building, no matter how much Jungkook loved his best friend Taehyung, He was still exhausting and hard to keep up with sometimes, how his mind worked would forever be a mystery to Jungkook.
Once Jungkook got into the room he quickly took his seat that had a tag with his name on it, he sat in the very back, the person in front of him was someone by the name Park Jimin.
Jungkook looked around as he was waiting for the other students and teacher to come in, which would be a while since it was still only 7:30 A.M. Taking note of how decorated the room was, it was unusual since most teachers would leave the rooms bare, every poster had something encouraging teamwork, he figured the teacher would be one of those types.
