Once we're safely inside the tunnel, Aquilina chanted a spell for light and five bright orbs appeared around our group.

"Make those light dim, we don't want to attract their attention."

The light dimmed.

The girl led the way, soon we heard some crashing noise and then silence. I expected a horde demon will appear anytime but nothing happened.

"They might have burned the house. Anyway, my name's Wren. Sorry for the late introduction. This tunnel leads to the sewers of the city. My sister and I designed it to escape in case they come for us."

"Your sister-" she raise her hand to stop Aquilina.

"My sister, made her choice. I've been looking for her this past few days. She made a very powerful charm, I suggest you let the librarian use it so no one can figure out where she is though."

I felt Everard's squized my elbow.

"You have spies in your midst back on your border Warrior, the warlock knows who the Librarian is. They know you're looking for the pieces of the book and the demons are only waiting for a chance to strike if you lower your guard."

"So you know where the book is?" Everard inquired. She shook her head. "I don't, but my sister does. All I can see are bits and pieces. The thing that you're looking for is inside a black box with Elliot's name on it and you need the key to open it."

I remembered the key Aquilina found on the corpse body. But why does she have it? Seems like she guesed the question we are about to ask.

"Eliot and my sister has been dating before the purge. But the council needs Elliot's expertise about something, and that's when he left the key to my sister. They plan to marry once he's back. And so you know he never came back, he died from the Purge. My sister is heartbroken. Sometimes I caught her staring from nowhere, speaking on her own. I tried to console her and pull her out of the dark. But I failed and now she's gone to the place where she thought she can be with him most even after death."

No one spoke.

"I have an idea where is it. One day my sister came home covered with dirt, she was wearing that charm by then so I don't know where she's been going. But given with her muddy state she might have left to go to the cemetery, we have a hidden hideout inside of a tomb. I have a feeling she might have burried the box there."

"Can you lead us there?" Aquilina asked.

"Yes. But I can only point the way to you. I have friends outside the city, I plan to leave today and never come back, this place brings bad memories since the Purge. I only stayed because my sister refuse to leave."

We nodded. We emerge to the sewers soon after, Wren acted as our guide until we reach the cemetery. "Find the angel's door. We also have food stored in there, you're welcome to take it and some blankets. Good luck."

"Wait!" Everard called. "Can you see what's happening to the border right now? Can you tell me who the spies is?"

Wren's face grew somber. "The border has fallen."

"My mother." Aquilina's voice quiver. "Impossible."

Wren shook her head, "The council is still alive, They plan to use them as hostage later on if they fail to kill you and collected the other parts of the book."

"My mother can't be defeated easier." Elspeth stood beside Aquilina, for some reason the air around her grew static. Gone her crazy look and was replaced by someone with fury.

"The warlocks knew how to subdue your kind. So as Lady Carla. Warlocks are powerful in making potion like the sorcerers are and they manage to create an anti magic." Wren explained.

"Anti magic. That's impossible."

"Believe whatever you like. The Warlocks and demons have been preparing for the promised revenge ever since the council locked them up, they won't just sit, my sister told me that they were just waiting. I don't know what she means. But she says they're waiting."

Wren says her goodbye as she left. We proceeded to the cemetery alone, Ranulf who's the fastest scouted the area to make sure no demons are on our heels, once we found the Angel's door tomb, we entered silently.

Aquilina chanted, making defense spells as well as alert spells in case someone is coming. Elspeth back her up as she weave her magic and created trap around the place, this is supposed to give us enough time to dig this place.

Inside of the tomb is dark, damp and creepy. There's a bunk on one side, a box of supply on the other. Everett ordered Ranulf to pack anything we can. Aquilina, Me and Elspeth started digging each corner on the room. Aquilina tried to will the box to come to us so as Elspeth but nothing happened. Aquilina says there must be a protective spell around it so dig we go.

No one spoke for half an hour, each of us concetrating on our task, Ranulf left to scout while Everard joined us. Halfway to our excavation a loud explosion shook the cemetery.

"Ooops, that's my trap." Elspeth magic started to spark around us. Aquilina's spell defenses were activated because the surrounding started glowing. Ranulf appeared.

"The city has fallen." Ranulf appeared in the doorway his face somber. "People are trying to flee, Demon's and Warlocks are all over the place looking for us. We have to hurry."

I dig faster hands aching.

"Aquilina, Elspeth hold them out, Ranulf help us here." Everard ordered.

Ranulf took Aquilina's shovel and started digging in a rapid pace. Another explosion shook the place. The walls started cracking.

I hit something hard. I started digging it by hands. I manage to retrieve a small book size box. I took the key out of my shirt. Aquilina made me wear it earlier.Everard and Ranulf stopped and stood by my side. Then I wiped off the keyhole and doze water on it to remove the dirt clogged inside. After several attempt we manage to hear a satisfying click and the box opened. There are other things inside the box.Another explosion shook.

"Ranulf, assist the girls outside." Everard says, Ranulf nodded and left in a flash.

There are pictures of the Clairvoyant girl we found dead next to a handsome man I believe to be Elliot. They are also several letters that has their names on it. I took it all out and put it inside my bookbag and then nothing. There's no ripped book inside. Dread filled me.

"No it can't be. No."

"Let me check." Everard took the box from me to inspect it.

Then the wall exploded Elspeth crashed on the other side of the wall.

"Elspeth!" I ran to her. She groaned she looks ok and very very pissed off.Everard was already on his way out to help his friends, it appears that they knew who we are because there's a General and huge ass demon waiting outside.
