Together we all sat in the fire. According to Lazuli the next part of the book is located in the town a kilometer away from here through the North. We still don't fully trust him but after explaining who he was. He also healed minor injuries the girls has. "I'm not a healer so I can only fix minor scratches."

Elspeth and Aquilina were able to wake up but their magic is still depleted.

While working on th girls he continued explaining. Turns out Edilia's mother, Emilia is a half fae. She was born out of wedlock causing her Emilia and her fae mother to be banish to the earthen realm, her mother vanish after a certain amount of time because fae we're not design to live on this world, Lazuli explained how much Emilia fought for the Rights of Fae before her mother vanished and Lazuli being a prince were able to go back and fourth undetected to visit her mother and Emilia and be in touch.

"Why didn't you come sooner?" Edilia asked after a certain amount of time after discovering she's a part fae.

"I came as soon as the purge happen but it's too late, your father is dead by the time I arrived. You're mother is hanging by a thread, I tried to heal her but she declined, she said she wanted to die together with the person she loved most and she made me promise to protect you and your sister."

"Did you found my sister?"

Lazuli shook his head. "Your sister and you are very clever at hiding, but I know you both we're alive."

Hearing her sister is alive made Edilia breath in relief.

"The last time I saw you is when you're five, your sister is still a baby by then. Your mother didn't allow me to meet you in case her Identity we're discovered, she doesn't want you to be punished as well."

"Does my father know?"

"Yes, she told him the truth before they were married."

"If she's part fae why does she doesn't have ears like yours." Aquilina asked.

"Like humans, we're all born with dominant part of ourselves. If you we're born between two species you will either look the other. Human blood dominates Emilia's DNA so she was born without as much physical aspect as the fae was. But she can still perform magic-"

"Whoa - wait, my mother can do magic?"

"Ah, of course she hasn't told you. Yes, but not as powerful, our mother came from a powerful bloodline, though human blood diluted it but it still there. Do you remember having your bones broken or having yourselves wounded?"

Edilia nodded. "It's either your mother healed you or you healed on your own, having a fae blood makes you heal faster than a normal human. Your mother is also immune to curses and some other type of magic and I believe you inherit those abilities."

"How did you know?"

"Just a hunch, would you like me to try it to you?" He pointed his staff towards her.

My defensive self roared to life. "Don't you dare point that thing at her!" I growled getting between them.

He just stared at me. Then back at Edilia then back at me. Like he's solving a puzzle we can't see.

"Ah, mates. I apologize, I didn't mean to be a threat to her, though I never meant to hurt her."

I froze, mate? Edilia's eye were wide, Aquilina and Ranulf have their mouth open staring back and fourth to Edilia and me. Elspeth is busy munching her food, bored, not that were done fighting.

"Why do you looks surprised? Ah, another thing you don't know. I apologize again."

We finished our dinner, unfortunately for Ranulf who refused to drink my blood, he won't get any until we traveled to the town tommorow. Edilia are talking casually on the other side of the fire with Lazuli, though we avoided each other's gazes I still kept an eye on her, I still don't trust that fae.
