"Shit! Shit! Shit! Everard wake up!"
I groaned. "What?"
"Sorry man, Edilia said she's just going to find some place to do her business and then when she didn't come back I looked for her and she's gone!"
That made my heart thumping. "Who!" I scanned the group.
It was dawn, light was started to fil the horizon, the fire is now a kindling, Lazuli still sleeping opposite to me. Elspeth us rubbing her eyes, Aquilina still sleeping but the space next to her is empty as well as her bookbag and one of our supply bag.
Aquilina sat up, "What's with the noise, Ranulf?"
"Edilia is gone!"
That woke up Lazuli. "What?"
"Elspeth!"
"What?"
"Remember the tracking we put on her clip, track it."
"Oh, yeah sure." She closed her eyes. "Strange, my tracking says she's here."
Aquilina immediately lunched through our things, good enough her clip together with a letter is placed within our bags.
Aquilina handed me the letter her face is pissed off.
I'll look for the book alone, I'll be back soon.
Everyone packed in a hurry. Ranulf kept apologizing and I told him if he apologized again I'm going to staked him.
"Ranulf get there first, I want intell about the city, we'll walk the rest of the way, meet us up in a hour."
He saluted.
"Wait, and find some diner." He nodded and left.
"Why can't we just teleport there. We have Mr. Fae here." Elspeth grumbled. Lazuli's eyes twitched.
"If there's a warlock general in the city he'll detect us as soon as we teleported. That's why Uncle here teleported us outside the city and not in it." His eyes twitched twice, he's not liking the nicknames then.
Lazuli sighed. "He's right, and it takes tremendous amount of mana to teleport people, if it's just me it will be easier, and we have to avoid using powerful spell, it's one way they used to detect your location."
The girls nodded.
After an hour we met Ranulf outside the city borders.
"City is still thriving not yet overcome by the enemies, they are prepared, looks like the reason why they are still holding is Kanto Clan is here." My eyes widened, that's my father's former clan, the usually don't reside inside a city, they have their own town to begin with, it's to make sure the warrior clan is pure and no one will birth to a half species.
"Here I snatched some robes for you guys. Especially you, white robe is cool but we don't want to attract too much attention."
We discarded our old robes and buried it under the sands.
"The city is big and we'll attract attention if we move together, we have to split up. Ranulf and Aquilina will go together, Uncle fae and Elspeth too."
"Why am I not with Ranulf?" Elspeth demanded.
"Because you're a physcho." Ranulf interjected.
"Because all you do is flirt with him and not get a job done. You'll go with Uncle."
"Just because I'm Edilia's uncle doesn't mean you can all call me that." Lazuli commented.
I ignored his comment. "Keep your hood down, people is going to panic if they knew who you were."
