One week time skip...
"(Name)" Scaramouche called me "I heard Aether just arrived in Inazuma, you know what to do" he said and as I was about to leave he stopped me by grabbing my wrist.
"Let's make a deal" he spoke "If you fail, you'll have to help me realise my biggest ambition at any cost" "What if I win?" I asked with a smirk "I'll make one of your fantasies come true" he explained
"I don't have fantasies i believe" i muttered confused "Maybe you will.." he replied smirking "Then I'm in" I said
I got out and left for Ritou where Aether seemed to be. When I got there, I saw him with a weird floating fairy and a familiar face I saw around.. Thoma. I managed to be friends with him some days ago
I got prepared in time and already expected it, Thoma can help him till a certain point, that's when I'll be able to get the traveler's trust.
"Now we have to find you a place to stay.." Thoma explained to the pretty confused traveler "I guess I could help with that" I said getting closer to them "(Name)!" Thoma said "Sorry for my intrusiveness, I just overheard that you are looking for a place to stay and I thought I could help.." I said with a smile "I'm Aether and this is Paimon" Aether said with a smile "Nice to meet you! As you heard before, I'm (name)" I said as we shook hands
"You said you could help us find a place where to stay, Paimon just wants you to know that we don't have any money so it better be something cheap with good food!" Paimon said. Interesting, she talks in third-person "Ahah.. I think I have the perfect place for you then!" I said as they all followed. Childe told me that they weren't really rich, so I asked Scaramouche for somewhere cheap in advance. It has some business with the fatui, so it won't be hard making them have all the comforts.
"Here we are!" We got in and they got a room. After that we all had dinner together in a casual restaurant, that's when I had to get back to tell Scaramouche everything.
"Why didn't you come for dinner? I was waiting for you" he said clearly annoyed "Aether asked me to have dinner with him" I explained "You and him alone?" He asked suspicion "No! There were also his friend Paimon and Thoma" I explained "And.. what would be the problem if we were alone?" I asked smirking "Nothing I was just wondering" he said turning to the other side probably blushing.
"I heard Childe calling you "Scara" one time" I stated just to conversate "Yea because he is stupid and doesn't get it's a dumb nickname" he explained "Come on Scara, it isn't that bad" I said smirking "Shut up and go to bed I don't want to see your face till tomorrow" he said getting up and storming into his room "Fine scara good night" I said "..night.." he muttered under his breath before closing the door behind him
It was pretty late, and I'm someone who needs to sleep a lot so the next morning I didn't hear the alarm. "Lady (Name), you have to wake up, the Balladeer is waiting for you!" They said, but I didn't find the strength to get up.
"(Name) get up" I hear Scaramouche say "What time is it?" I asked "6:00 a.m." he answered "I wake up at 6:30 usually" I say turning to the over side so I wouldn't face him "Well, from now on you'll wake up at the same hour as me" he said getting by my side of the bed. As revenge for him disturbing me, I closed my eyes again
"Ugh.." he muttered under his breath annoyed That's when he started poking my cheek "Wake up" he said while doing it.
I felt my face heat up and to avoid the embarrassment I just got up "F-fine!" I said wanting him to get out. He got the message, and left with a smirk.
When Childe did this sort of thing I didn't feel so flustered.. what's up with this guy?
I got ready and went to the dining table where breakfast was ready. I sat beside him, avoiding eye contact and started eating. "Why so silent?" He asked smirking "Just thinking" I answered quickly "About..?" "None of your business Balladeer" I said smirking "Come on, get ready and get to work" he said getting up
At first he seemed like a rude idiot, while now I feel like he is actually pretty soft.
And I'm starting to like it a little..
As planned i met the traveler and took him around with Thoma and that's when he told us Miss Kamisato would be interested in meeting us.
"I'm Kamisato Ayaka, delighted to make your acquaintance" she said bowing once we got to the Kamisato estate "I heard a lot about you Aether, and about (name), Thoma told me that you saved him from a few hillichurls one time and that your fighting skills are quite surprising" she said as we both smiled.
She told us she wanted to put an end upon the vision hunt decree.. and.. this could be a problem.
What do I say? Childe told me that Scaramouche is controlling all the vision hunt decree thing.. "So.. are you guys willing to help?" She asked snapping me out of my thought "Paimon's in!" Paimon said as Aether nodded "I'm.. in too" I said a bit hesitant
"That's great, lets meet tomorrow at Komore tea house to discuss everything" she said before leaving "(Name)?" Paimon spoke "Yes?" "Why did you decide to join? You don't seem like you are searching for some sort of answers from the Shogun" Paimon asked. I was prepared to this question. "Well.. I had a friend who lost her vision because of the Vision hunt decree and.. I never saw someone suffering more than her. I don't think anyone should go through it, I'm doing this in her behalf.." I didn't lie at all. I just made a few adjustments. "(name).. Excuse Paimon she asks too personal questions sometimes.." Aether said embarrassed "It's fine really" I said smiling
It was dinner time and I got back to the mansion and told everything to Scaramouche "Mm.. I guess you made the right choices after all.. just make sure not to cause any direct trouble to the decree" he said "Nice.. job" he said "thanks" I said smiling at him And this time, he smiled back.
