(Name)'s pov:
I woke up in a bed, I felt it wasn't mine thought. As soon as I opened my eyes, I noticed I had a bend over my right eye, and my stomach hurt a lot.
I looked around the room just to see a ginger sitting on a chair while reading a book. He glanced at me and after noticing I was staring at him and came closer.
"Hey how do you feel?" He asked "Who are you?" I immediately asked ignoring the question "Ah, my apologies I didn't introduce my self, I'm Childe" "Childe who?" I asked again "You really want to know everything huh? If I must tell you, I'm one of the fatui, but I swear I won't kill you" he said "I don't mind if you're a fatui actually, you just saved me I believe"
"I was passing by and saw you in the snow freezing while your right eye looked like a meatball. By the way.. what happened?" I told Childe about the confused things I remembered and then he helped me remove the bandage. "I didn't know your eyes were of two different colours" he said as I got confused "but they aren't" I said as he looked at me clueless
"Then I guess we have a problem" he said as he lent me a mirror. My right eye was yellow. "Is this normal?" I asked "I don't think so. Maybe the goddess did something to it, but can you see from that eye?" He asked "yea" "Oh then unless you don't like yellow I guess it isn't that bad" he said as I let out a small smile that immediately faded as I remembered Olivia
"Did someone come look for me..?" I asked hoping to receive a yes as an answer "I don't think so.." he said looking away but as he noticed I got even sadder he held my hand and said "hey don't be sad! I'll take care of you till you need me too! You don't need those people if they didn't come look for you!" He said. Those last words remembered me about what the goddess said.
What if I actually needed them?
Some weeks passed and I was finally able to walk again. "Childe?" I asked one day "yea?" "I have one request" "Go on"
"Teach me how to fight" I said as my eyes lit up
"I wasn't expecting that. I thought you already knew how because of the vision" he said surprised "..Vision?" I asked even more surprised "Um yea, when I found you, you where holding really tight a cryo vision" He said as he showed it to me. My eyes widened in surprise "You didn't know you had a vision?" He asked "No.." I said "Maybe you got it after the goddess did something to your eye?" He asked doubtful "Probably"
Months passed, and I explored a bit Lyue and ended up loving it. I was kind of sick of snow. I mean, I love snow, but not everyday. I also learned how to use a sword and elemental energy thanks to Childe. I train everyday by fighting some slimes or hillichurls.
One day at dinner we started talking about the fatui. "(Name) why don't you join the fatui?" He asked me "mm.. I don't know.. I don't think I would fit in well" I answered "I think you would instead! Maybe one day you'll become a harbinger too!"He said to motivate me "Childe you just want me to join and then convince your traveler friend to join them too.." I said with a smirk as he got embarrassed
"Ugh.. anyway today I forced another harbinger to come here all the way from Inazuma!" He said with a bright evil smile "Just why" I asked "To discuss about some matters that you won't be able to listen to BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T WANT TO JOIN THE FATUI" He said proudly "Oh my god I'll go cry in the corner I'm so ashamed of my self" I said sarcastically as we both laughed.
The next day around lunch time, Childe yelled at me: "(Name) he's here! Come greet him!" Not going to lie, but I was kinda exited. He seemed like a cool guy.
"Balladeer, this is (name), the girl I wrote you about" Childe said as got in the same room as them. He had indigo hair and beautiful purple eyes, but his hat was a bit too big in my opinion.
"An honour to meet you" I said in the most polite way "Yea whatever" he said That hit hard.
"Come on don't be so harsh! She had a hard time in Sneshnaya not long ago!" Childe said trying to defend me "That's none of my business, nor should be yours. She even got a vision, I guess she didn't need your help"
"Childe there's no need, he's right after all" I said trying to make things better while I made them worst "No one asked your opinion" "I didn't ask you to come either" I answered without thinking as Childe covered my mouth "(NAME) APOLOGISE" Childe said terrified as the Balladeer glared at me "Fine.. I'm sorry.." I said looking down
"Don't think I'm going to forgive you after a stupid apologise" he answered " I wasn't expecting it" I muttered under my breath
"Anyway, you had to inform me on the Inazuma situation right?" Childe said changing topic fortunately "I guess.. I need someone to investigate about the traveler.. I heard that Inazuma will be his next nation, but it would be better if they're not part of the fatui so they wouldn't be suspicious" the Balladeer said getting straight to the point
"(Name) would be perfect then. She isn't part of the fatui yet she doesn't hate us and she's good at investigating!" Childe answered "no I'm not?" I said "Yes you are! One time I asked you to tell me the price of core lapis at the market and you discovered the biggest secret of the guy who sold it just to use it against him and get everything for free!" He said. "I just wanted free core lapis.." I said embarrassed
"I'll let you stay in my mansion and you won't have to worry about paying anything" the Balladeer said getting closer to me "But this means I'll have to leave Lyue and Childe.." I said "(name) I promise I'll stay here and wait for you! And I'll come visit too!" He said "You don't seem like someone who keeps promises" I said "I will, I swear" he said "Fine.. I'll go"
"We'll leave this night, get all your stuff, you won't come back for a while" the Balladeer said
