BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! I groaned and rolled over to my left, smacking the alarm clock. I saw that the time was 7:30; I sighed. I stretched and stood up groggily before putting on my boxers. I looked out my apartment window to see the sun rising before looking over to my left at my calendar "GET SUPPLIES FOR VIDEO" I wrote on a sticky note. My eyes widened as realization hit me. I proceeded to do my business and put my clothes on, putting the hood of my hoodie over my head before walking into Rats' room. I have a pet hognose snake that I found shortly before moving here, I've had her for about a year now. I walked in and looked down at her "Good morning, sweetheart." I greeted. Rats stuck her tongue out at me. "Right. Crickets, your favorite." I said before taking out the box of dead crickets and tossing them down inside. She slithered around her cage and I sighed. "I have to go to the store, okay? Be a good girl while I'm gone." I said with a wink. I walked out of my apartment after locking up and headed to the market. I lit a cigarette in my left hand and inhaled the nicotine. I've always been a loner, especially since I moved out and went from state to state. As of now, I live in Hurricane, Utah. I moved out when I was 17 and graduated high school at 18, I didn't go to college as I couldn't afford it, nor own a vehicle. I'm okay with being alone, but sometimes...I walked and saw Dad's Diner up ahead of me; I usually go in there in the mornings to get coffee, and maybe I'll go in. I moved my hand away and let out a puff of smoke before putting it back. I put my hands in my pockets and sighed. "Another boring day..." I said, gritting my teeth on the cigarette before looking to my left. I see the backside of someone; chubby with brown slacks, the horizontal white and pink striped shirt, and the gray cap. I could see that they were cleaning a table before turning around. My cigarette dropped from my mouth. It was a girl, she had blue and pink strands of hair under her bill, snakebites, white skin with freckles, a black choker with a gold crescent moon, partly shaved brows, what struck me the most were her eyes; the right side was green, and the left side was brown. "Where have I seen those before...?" I thought. She then gazed up at me through the Diner's window, my eyes widened and my heart stopped. "Crap! I've been caught staring!" I thought. She looked at me curiously as I just stood there, watching her. I began to look at more of her body. "I need to move, why can't I move? Please, God, let me move." I thought with panic. She turned to her right and walked out of view; I relaxed for a moment before hearing that familiar bell ding...there she was. She stood at the doorway "Hey, we don't open for another hour. You're welcome to come back if you'd like." She said, she had an Alto voice. I just looked at her with a deer in the headlights look "Get out of here!!" I mentally shouted at myself. Why is my heart pounding? Why are my pants suddenly tight? Am I sweating? She arched her brow at me and put her hands on her hips, that I stared at with some kind of thirst "You okay?" She asked. I looked into her eyes, trying to fight the urge of being frozen. I could feel my cheeks growing hot. Finally I grabbed my hood and took off in a sprint; trying not to look back. I got to an alleyway a few blocks down and ran to the left side, sliding down against the brick wall "What's wrong with me...?" I asked aloud, the nape of my neck growing cold. What is this feeling? I panted and held my hands to my face. "I need to see her again." I thought before mentally smacking myself. She probably thinks I'm mental! I should never show my face there again! Why is she on my mind? Her face, her eyes, her curves...grr, get it together! I felt this growing pain in my stomach as my body shook. What is this? I've had panic attacks before, but not like this. No, I need to see her again. "Then do it, you moron." Was all I heard in my head. I headed back to the Diner and headed to the entrance door. I gripped the door handle when I saw her moving around in the kitchen; her mouth was in a wide smile as if she was laughing. She walked with a gentle sway of her hips and a bright red bucket in her left hand. She's so beautiful, but I need to hide...I, I can't talk to her. What is wrong with me? I just want to get close to her, I want her to kiss me. What is happening? As I ran from the Diner I sat back in that alleyway. I want her, I need her. Is this, is this what love feels like? I don't know her, but I just want to be with her. "Don't worry...I'm going to get you, and your boyfriend is going to fix everything for you. You're my everything." I whispered. That day after I got the supplies I just watched her from the alleyway, and when night came. I followed her to an apartment, where I watched her sleep. She looked like a beautiful angel, how I wanted to be with her now...but I can't, I need to talk to her...soon.
