I don't know how long I have been trapped in this shack, but I have resorted to digging like a dog in a white gown. The older woman is always feeding me and giving me Prenatal Vitamins. I use the forks and spoons to also dig. It is morning, and how I know is because of the pinkish orange hue in the sky "Pink in the morning, sailor's warning." I think to myself as I look at the gap I have made. Lucky thing the floor is literally just dirt at this point. I reach my right hand down to see how far I can get through. I take a deep breath, I can do this. I carefully try to crawl and protect my baby bump against the dirt; taking deep breaths as I do so. I look at where the edge of the wall is and duck under it. I can start to see the clear sky; filling me with hope. I smile widely as my left hand starts to touch the grass. I climb up my hill as much as I can; taking deep breaths as to not lose my air. I dig my knees into the dirt to keep moving before both of my hands grip the ground. I now heave myself up; like you would in a pool. I get my right leg up to the ground, and roll onto my back as I lay there. I'm free! I'm finally free! Taking deep breaths I look at the sky and smile before rolling to my left side and getting up. I look at my surroundings, which way should I go? I decide to head to the back of the shed and walk into the woods; that's the best guess. I walk and check my surroundings to check if I'm alone, surely Peter doesn't see or hear me. I get to the back of the small shed and duck as I head to the woods...I can see the sun start rising as I walk through the woods; this would actually be peaceful if it wasn't for the circumstance. I pass by more evergreen trees as the air feels cold against my goosebumps. I rub my belly as I duck under a fallen oak tree. Fog begins to accumulate, causing me to arch my brow at its suddenness. I walk for what feels like an eternity, and I look up to see a clearing. It looks to be a construction site! Looking around again I run to it! Maybe there's someone here who can help me! I look at the empty shed in the center and see nobody; not a soul. Why would there just be random construction equipment out here? There's bulldozers and forklifts all around. I move away from the shed and walk away from the site backwards before turning around...my eyes widen. It's, a telephone, in the center of nowhere, and it looks like a payphone. My heart thuds, feeling really creeped out. There doesn't seem to be civilization for miles, why would there just be a random phone out here as well? I shrug and walk to it, maybe I can call someone for help. Trying to think of a number, I'm going to try this, though it probably won't work. I hit the numbers on the pad and put the phone to my left ear.

"Hello?" "Mom, it's me! Look, I nee-" "Why are you calling from a random number? Your reception is bad, Yvonne." Mom says "I know it is, look, Peter kidnapped me and is holding me captive against my will, and he's giving our son away to someone. I need you to-" Mom cuts me off. She now starts telling me about how it is the fourth anniversary...since my ex died "I heard that he drowned. Oh, Yvonne, it was heartbreaking." She says "Yeah, well, that guy abused me in every way imaginable...he's the one who put that tattoo on me, Mom. Did you not hear me? You need to call the police and tell them that I am missing!" I exclaim "He wouldn't have done that to you, Yvonne. He came from a very respectable family. As for Patricia, I'm not surprised, that family was always crazy." She says "Mom, it's Peter! And okay, I know that now. Please, call the police! I don't know where I am!! Plea-" I hear the deadline ring in my ear. I pull the phone away and arch my brow, I must have lost signal "Darling..." My heart stops as I slowly turn around to see Peter with that mask. "I just decided to cut the phone line, Darling. Saves money on the electric, don't you think? Now how did you get out of your placement, huh? Other than that big hole you created. I have to say, you've become very smart, but not smart enough." He says before chuckling "I'm not going back there. And, and why do you keep wearing that mask? Do you honestly think it scares me?" I ask. He now walks over and grabs my left arm with his right hand "Let's go back to your home. You don't want to make me mad. Do you, Darling?" He asks "Please, Peter, I just want us back at our apartment." I plead "You are going to behave. Now do as I say, or things are going to get ugly, slut." He seethes. My eyes widen at his sentence "You hated calling me that." I say "If you don't obey me, words are going to be the last thing on your mind!!" He shouts. He walks and drags me by my left arm, causing my shoulder to pop. I begin to cry, how do I get out of this? How?
