Chapter 25: The favorite daughter of White vs. the favorite son of America

The Homelander stopped to charge his laser beams. Aquamarine took this opportunity and grabbed Eye Ball to fuse again and fly away as Blue Bird.

-You are not getting away!- Rose said.

Rose jumped to caught them but the Homelander punched her in the face, launching her to the ground, which got cracked.

-Mom!- Steven said.

-That's your son!? Now that I look both of you closely, you are very similar. You have the same hair, skin and Gem, but yours is bigger- the Homelander said.

-What's your big idea idiot!? You are letting them escape!- Rose shouted angrily standing up.

-Yes, so they can come again with more lesbian rocks and attack more cities- the Homelander said.

-What!?- Steven shouted shocked.

-With all the destruction that they will cause the Congress will finally let the sups in the Army- the Homelander said.

The Homelander then charged his laser beams and launched them to Steven, but Rose quickly interposed between them and summoned a shield that protected both of them from the deadly lasers.

-Wow, you are really fast. I guess that you are really their leader. Imagine all the invasions that will occur if I kill you...- the Homelander said stopping to launch his lasers.

He then went flying at high speed toward Rose, which managed to hold the attack and then push him to the hit him and launch him into a wrecked car, which got more wrecked.

-Tell me human, do you bleed?- Rose asked seriously.

The Homelander started to laugh. For him, the question was absurd.

-What kind of question was that!? Of course I can't bleed. I'm the Homelander- the Homelander said.

Rose then moved at high speed toward the Homelander and gave him a strong punch in the stomach that caused him to vomit a little bit.

-Well, you will- Rose said.

This infuriated the Homelander, which punched Rose in the face a pair of times, making her drop her shield. He then grabbed her head to start pressing it, but Rose then grabbed his head and gave him a strong headbut that made him move backwards. Rose then launched to the Homelander and gave him a strong knee that moved them to a building that was about to collapse and that collapsed over the two of them.

Rose engulfed herself in her bubble shield to protect herself from the building while the Homelander got smashed by it. Seconds later Rose emerged from the debris of the collapsed building, going to the air, waiting for the Homelander to get out.

-"If he is as strong as the commercials say, then he will come out at any minute"- Rose thought.

And her thoughts were right, the Homelander came out of the debris and went flying at her firing the laser from his eyes. The laser hit the bubble shield of Rose, but didn't had the strength to move it, less break it, but the punches of the Homelander were capable of doing it. Rose was sent flying away, but she stopped herself in just a few seconds and then undid the bubble shield, floating in the air.

-So you can fly too!? Interesting- the Homelander said with a cynical smile.

-What do you intend to create a war between humanity and the Gem kind!?- Rose shouted furiously.

-You know Rose, Homelander is more than just a superhero. It may be cynical to me say this but this, but, "he" is a "brand". And is very important to me that "that brand" mean something and to be the number one in the world. I don't want to be second fiddle to some goddam latina girl and her group of super weirdos. Avengers of the Justice, that's mouthful. In a war of the worlds against your little Gems, my team, the Seven, and I will become the number one heroes not only in America but in the world- the Homelander said.
