Chapter 2: Storm in the Room

-M-mom!? Is that you?- Steven said with tears in his eyes.

-Yes, yes it is Steven. You have no idea how many times I have thought in the day that I could talk to you, speak with you, pass time with you, exist at the same time that you do- Rose said while crying.

Ignoring all his hate for his mother, Steven went running to his mother, which shape shifted into a human size of her Diamond form, but wearing her Rose Quartz dress, to hug her son. Steven jumped to the arms of her mother and both hugged each other, just crying of sadness and happiness for many minutes.

-B-but how this is possible? I thought that you died- Steven said looking to the mother at the eyes.

-Before your birth I prayed day and night to the human's God. One day, He answered my calls and told that, taking in consideration all the good things and bad thing that I have made in during my life, I would be able to see your growth, I couldn't be able to interfere in your life. I didn't understand Him at that moment, but when you born and I died, I become something like your guardian angel, so I've been watching your growth all this time, but I couldn't interact with you, something that caused me so much grieve but at the same time I was grateful that I could see you living, as well to see Greg and the Crystal Gems. The only moments in which I could interact with you was when you were dreaming as a baby, but I had to stop entering in your dreams when you could start remembering them. God's actions can be seen as cruel but they are fair. However, that night when you entered to my room and asked it to bring me to you, somehow I was able to have a physical body, so that was the first time that I could actually interact with you- Rose said.

-Wait, so all the times that White came to Earth and wanted to me to go to your room to call for you...- Steven said.

-Yes, the first time she went there and you left us alone with Water Angel (Lapis Lazuli) I told them that I was really Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond- Rose said.

The happiness and sadness that engulfed Steven a few moments ago was suddenly overwhelmed by a deep hate. The hate that he has been feeling for her mother with the time for having to solve all her mistakes. Steven pushed her mother away.

-AND WHY THE FUCK YOU DIDN'T TOLD ME!?- Steven shouted angry.

-Because you hated me- Rose said simply.

This answer seemed to calm Steven a little bit. Rose decided to continue her explanation.

She has changed a lot and that is in great part thanks to you- Rose said.

The explanation of Rose hurt Steven a lot. All his hatred for her mother moved her apart. In fact he was the reason of his own misery. He fell into his knees and started to cry, turning pink with some parts of his body suddenly growing to then getting small. Rose quickly went to help her son.

-Steven! Steven! Calm down! Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale- Rose said.

Steven started to inhale and exhale, managing to calm himself a little and return to normal.
