Chapter 27: Last talk before Christmas

-Thank you for inviting me Rosa- Abelardo said.

-No, thanks to you. This dinner is my way to thank you and Manuela for everything you have done to the Crystal Gems and the Gem kind- Rose said.

-You have nothing to thank, it was our duty to help you the Crystal Gems. Also that we like to save the day and the world- Manuela said.

-Mom, can I ask you something?- Steven asked.

-Of course son- Rose said.

-Why Pink Pearl and Spinel are here?- Steven asked.

-Because we are her BFs, dah!- Spinel said mocking of Steven.

-This dinner is also for them Steven. Is a way to tell them that I am sorry for all the troubles that I have made to them- Rose said.

-As I said before, I have forgiven you many thousands of years in the past Pink, though the detail is appreciated and of course I won't say no to eat a little with you and my beloved Spinel- Pink Pearl said hugging the arm of Spinel.

-And why I am here? I don't know any of Spanish- Steven asked.

Rose invited Abelardo and Manuela to a dinner at a restaurant in Abelardo's home city, Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, sponsored by her, as a way to thank them for everything that they have done for her family, the Crystal Gems, helping them in their moments of necessity, like when Jasper, Peridot and a forced Lapis Lazuli came to Earth in 2014 or when the Diamonds came to Earth in Garnet's wedding as well when they went to Homeworld in the 2016. Also for defeating the Exterminatore and White Diamond. And, last but not least, being the first human friends that Steven had in many years.

-We need you here so Rosie can possess White's body and interact with her. She can't very far from you if not White can't channel her into her body- Spinel explained.

-That's a good explanation, but what is doing Amethyst here?- Steven asked.

-I came for the free food bro. And also some ázucar latina- Amethyst said to then kiss Manuela in the mouth –come on Abelardo, I know you want-

-I will pass Amethyst, as always- Abelardo said.

-Hahaha! I like to tease you mi compa- Amethyst said.

A female waitress came to take their orders and they started to ask what they wanted to eat, as well to drink. Rose, Spinel and Amethyst wanted to drink some alcoholic drinks and they used some fake Mexican IDs that Amethyst proportionated to them. The waitress was a little confused to see that Rose and Amethyst were mother and daughter, but she didn't made any questions and just took the order.

-Nora, this Mexican IDs look very legitimate! From where did you get them?- Rose asked while seeing her name "Rosa Cuarzo" in the ID.

-I have my contacts- Amethyst said a little sassy.

-And why are your contacts?- Abelardo asked.

-Oh no, I won't tell you this time. Because of you my previous contacts were arrested and a had a hard time finding new ones- Amethyst complained.

-Of course we sent them to jail, they were counterfeiters!- Abelardo said aggressive.

-"Espinela Spinelli", really?- Spinel said bothered by the name that Amethyst put her in the ID.

-I had to make them in a hurry, I didn't had time to think in a better or cooler name- Amethyst said.

-Well, I am sure that, if I have time, I will find a cool and emblematic name for myself- Spinel said.

-It will be a cool name according to nationality or just a cool name?- Abelardo asked.

-That's a good question. To think about it I have never thought with which Earth's nation I feel more identified. Róża, you consider yourself a member of a nation?- Spinel asked.
