Chapter 5: Awaken

"How is he?"

"Stable."

"I have to take him back when he is fully recovered."

"He can find his own why back."

"Or we can dump him somewhere and let his team find him."

The women glared at Roland.

"Where am I?"

Alpha rushed to his side.

"Commandant."

Everyone else left the room.

"Alpha?"

"I'm here."

"Where am I?"

"We are in medical room at the Ascendants."

He looked around.

"I hate it here."

"I know, but this is the only place who can heal you."

"Whatever."

Alpha saw the boy roll his eyes.

"You nearly killed me."

"I'm sorry."

"I know you didn't mean it."

Alpha kissed his cheek.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too."

The boy looked around again.

"How long I'm going be here?"

"Just a couple of days."

"Can I send a message to my team."

Alpha didn't respond.

"I'm not going tell him where I'm at. I'm tell them not to look for me."

Alpha was shocked. The boy chuckled.

"I don't want them to see me like this."

"Very well. Send them a message."

The Commandant opened a communication screen. He contacted Liv.

"Commandant!"

"Hey Liv."

"Where are you? We been looking for you."

He saw Lucia, and Lee appear on screen too.

"I need you guys to listen to me."

They nodded.

"Don't look for me. I will be back in a couple of days."

"Commandant, why can't we look for you."

"I'm not in danger. Liv you monitor my vitals. I will be back soon."

"Will do Commandant."

"Love you guys."

He ended the communication. Alpha looked pleased.

"Do need anything?"

"Just you. Lucia."

"Just call me Alpha."

He chuckled.

"I'm sorry for what I said during our battle. I didn't mean to hurt you. I didn't mean for your true form to come out."

He looked at her and saw tears in her eyes.

"It's okay."

"No it's not! You was doing good with out me. I couldn't stand it. I want you to be happy when you are not fighting the war, but I ruined that."
