Case 7: Murder

Time: 2:50 PM

Location: Hurricane, Utah

Clay: "Call Nora, she hasn't been back in a few days, we are getting more calls lately and right now there haven't been many of us."

Donna: "Yes sir."

The police station was quiet, but the calls didn't stop.

The chief of police looked as people came and went, missing persons, suicides, massacres, it was the middle of the month.

And business was booming.

John: "Now listen to me Rose, this task won't be easy. Your first mission....is to remember each other's names."

The brunette stared at her boyfriend in confusion.

Charlie: "Your serious?"

He raised his arms up in surrender, chuckling a bit.

John: "Don't tell me, tell the chief. He wants each rookie to get alone with everyone, cause once we start working, we have to work together. Team effort."

Charlie: "John...You know I don't do well with remembering names."

John: "Then let's get to work on that."

The front doors opened, everyone stopped to look.

Jackson: "Anyone miss me?" He smiled. But everyone looked at him as if he was someone else, Clay walked into the room and looked at David Jackson.

Clay: "Where have you been? We were looking for you."

Jackson: "I was doing my job, trying to find out what happened at Silver Reef when Dunn left me there."

Clay: "He said you disappeared-"

Jackson: "He lied. I was in the backroom of one of the houses, coming to tell him I found a lead in the case, when he locked me in there. I was there for a few days and had to walk back all the way over here."

John: "What did you find?"

Jackson: "I found the owner."

Charlie: "...owner??"

Jackson: "She was murdered."

The officers talked to themselves as Jackson got done speaking, he opened his mouth once more.

Jackson: "I brought her here."

Clay: "..You what?"

Jackson: "I brought the body here."

Donna: "Why did you do that? You should had left it there, you didn't have any gloves or anything."

Jackson: "Well I wanted to hurry the job up a bit."

Jackson left, after a minute or two, he came back with the body, Charlie noticed who it was immediately

Charlie: "t-thats....!"

John: "you knew them?"

Charlie: "....t-thats my mother..."

Charlie went up to Jackson and the body, but he put a hand in front of her.

Jackson: "No, we need to get it to the evidence room."

Donna sighed

Donna: "He's right, we need to work and see if anything wrong with the body, get a DNA sample and find out who they were."

Charlie was shocked, who would kill her own mother?

Meanwhile

Time: 4:31: PM

Location: New Harmony

Detective: "Miss Evergreen, I would like to ask you some questions."

Delilah: "Okay."

The two sat down at the table, the office was well lit, with the curtains open, showing a part of the town, it was raining as if a storm had arrived, but there was some light from the sun coming through.

Detective: "My name is Detective Riley. Detective Larson isn't here today so I had to take his shift. I am going to ask you some questions. Answer them and you will be free to go."

Delilah: "Okay, ask away."

Detective Riley: "Okay, what's your name?"

Delilah: "My name is Delilah Evergreen."

Detective Riley: "Where do you live currently?"

Delilah: "Silver Reef."

Detective Riley: "Do you have any family there?"

Delilah: "No."

Detective Riley: "Do you have a love interest there, husband, wife, boyfriend or girlfriend? Maybe even a roommate?"

Delilah: "No."

Detective Riley: "Have any incidents occured while you have lived at Silver Reef?"

Delilah: "No"

Detective Riley: "Do you have visitors sometimes?"

Delilah: "No."

Detective Riley sighed, maybe out of relief.

Detective Riley: "Okay then Miss Evergreen, you may go now."

Delilah: "Oh, may I ask a question?"

Detective Riley looked at her, surprised she was asking a question now.

Delilah: "Have you heard of...

Ennard?"
