(This chapter contains a lot of swearing. You have been warned.)

(The image for this chapter is the one on the cover in its original form, so color. It was the key art for Mafia Definitive Edition.)

(This is the longest chapter I have made in any of my stories. Enjoy the end of this story.)

Time: 2:00 AM

Location: Hurricane Hospital for the ill and Gifted

John was keeping an eye on Carlton, sat by his bed, worried for the boy. He heard that someone one else was at the diner when it blew up. So he went to Donna, who was outside, and asked her.

"Hey, Donna, Norah said you found a body at the diner, which was it?" John said confused about the whole thing.

Donna looked at the ground, remembering the people on the force that had passed away in that explosion...still wondering who did it, or if it was indeed an accident...she looked up at him.

"You wouldn't want to hear it..." Donna said to John.

John left the hospital, leaving Carlton in Donna's care.

He got into his police car and contacted Norah.

"Norah, I need your help." John said Into the receiver.

"What's happening??" Norah said tiredly.

"Charlie's dead. And we know why." Johns hold of the receiver tightened, he couldn't had believed what he heard.

"Meet me at the police station in a few minutes. It's time we end this." John said, hanging up the receiver and driving as fast as he could to the hurricane police department. The station not as crowded as he thought it would, a minute or so later, Norah had arrived as well.

Time: 2:00 AM

Location: Burke Residence

I was at home, knowing what would come, I got armed and ready for the fight ahead.

I put on the outfit I used to wear when I was out on nights like these, was it dramatic? Sure, but it worked.

Putting on my old detective, and casual, outfit, I got out what looked to be a makeshift Tommy gun, if your wondering, it was gold plated, had it commissioned from a store owner once and it had been sitting in my office, it used to be in the armory but people tried to take off with it, luckily at the time it wasn't loaded. But now I made sure there was a full mag and some few extras incase Jen didn't go down easy.

If I died, she was going down with me. But i will make sure not one more person dies because of her, I owe that to everyone...

(Song: Main theme from the game 'Max Payne')

John saw Norah and got out of the police car, Norah getting out of her car It wasn't a police car, instead, it was a previous race car model. Still new somewhat, but not as new as everything else.

"Good, I have a feeling this won't be easy. Can't believe all this time the person that did all of this was presumed dead....but...who was the person that was brought in if it wasn't her?" He asked, looking toward the building, making sure his pistol was with him...it was.

Norah did the same and put a mag into her pistol.

"Not sure Xavier...but I have a feeling it was that girl that came by once..."

"Jessica? She's a sweetheart. I am sure you two would be a good couple." John said, trying to lighten the mood.

"Well if it's her...poor girl...died for something she didn't even know what happening..." Norah looked at the ground, then too John, she looked as angry as he did.
