It was currently two in the morning. The moon was still visible, and all the people who were staying under Tonks's roof were all sleeping, except Jamie Potter and her son, Aster Potter, who were both in the kitchen.
Aster cries, and gets breastfed by Jamie, as she shushes him, taking a tiny sip of a glass of water as she craves for a joint, or a snort of coke, but she promised to herself, to Harry, to Aster, that she would break those bad habits to see her son grow up.
The red-haired girl silently sighs, as her son finally calms down and sucks on her right nipple instead of the usual left. Then she grabs her phone,
(scarlett 🌹) still alive?
(mel/lisa) yeah
(scarlett 🌹) ft?
(mel/lisa) sure, but you might faint
(scarlett 🌹) lmao as if
A chime comes out of her phone, the screen indicating that Scarlett was asking to join Jamie in FaceTime. She accepts ang gets greeted by the same Scarlett Miller she saw basically a year ago.
"Hi-Melissa?" Her hazel green eyes go wide.
Shit. I forgot I was a brunette the last time I saw her.
"Yeah, Scarlett. It's me."
"I'm not convinced...." She replies, a bit scared, and not expecting to be greeted by a brown-eyes redhead, "You sure as hell don't look like her."
"It's-It's me, I swear. It's just that-" Jamie takes a deep breath, "I found that my actual family is in the UK. That's where I am now." She looks at the screen to see her reaction, which was a mix of amusement and relief.
"Mhm...Tell me something that only Melissa Collins would know."
"You lose your v-card under the bleachers in 2017 and got a black eye after it."
"Dammit. It is you." She lightly scoffs, "Okay, first, I think you look very hot. If I knew you looked like this, I would've been back together with you!"
"Haha, yeah." Jamie fake laughs. Not a funny thing to say.
"And also, you cost mine, Bea, and Cam's time, Mel! What the hell! Seriously, everybody thinks that you murdered Diana!"
"I didn't kill her." The red-haired girl settles her phone onto the kitchen counter as she adjusts Aster's position as she was breastfeeding him.
"Yeah, but everybody thinks so even your mom-oh my god. YOU WERE ACTUALLY PREGNANT?"
"Obviously. I don't have the fucking effort to lie to Williams."
"Om-I literally forgot to tell you," Scarlett settles on her bed, "I'm actually going to a boarding school over there in the UK. I was thinking if we could I don't know, get brunch to catch up?"
"The pigs planned this?"
"What? No! Pigs are shit."
"So...asking me out?"
"...What if I am?"
"Alright, then."
"Cool, I'll message the details."
And the call ends, leaving a nervous Jamie Potter with her son in his hands until ten past three, where she goes back to the room and charges her phone, and putting Aster on his bassinet.
She lies back down on her bed and goes to sleep in a matter of seconds, which she gratefully needs.
