"Rennervate!" Amos Diggory pointed his own wand at Winky, the house-elf, who woke up, and sat herself up. Then the man began to introduce himself as a member of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, proceeding to make the house elf explain herself, being discovered at the crime scene.

The house elf gasped, and stammered out of nervousness, pointing out that she didn't know how to cast a spell, let alone the Dark Mark.

"You were found with a wand in your hand!" Mr. Diggory barked, waving the wand that was caught, capturing the green light filling the clearing from the skull in the skies.

"Hey—that's mine!" Harry noticed, and everybody except Jamie looked at him.

"Excuse me?" Mr. Diggory asked incredulously.

"That's my wand!" Harry pointed out once more, "I dropped it!"

"You...dropped it?" The man repeats, but with disbelief included, "Is this a confession? You threw it aside after you conjured the Mark?" Harry's twin, Jamie stared at the man in disbelief.

Huh? Harry conjuring the Dark Mark? Voldemort's Dark Mark? Are you tired right now, Diggory?

"Amos, think who you're talking to!" Mr. Weasley says angrily, "Is Harry Potter likely to conjure the Dark Mark?"

"Er—of course not." Mr. Diggory mumbled in response, "Sorry...carried away."

"I didn't drop it there, anyway." Harry jerked his thumb towards the trees beneath the skull, "I missed it right after we got into the woods."

"So," Mr. Diggory began once again, continuing to interrogate the elf, "You found this wand, eh, elf? And you picked it up and thought you'd have some fun with it, did you?"

"I is not doing magic with it, sir!" Winky squealed.

"I am so tired of this shit." Jamie mumbles resting her forehead on her brother's left shoulder, "I wanna go back to Aster." and lightly bangs her head on it, "I miss him. I want him in my arms."

He strokes her flaming red hair out of comfort as he hums in response, giving her half of his attention, while giving the other half to the other conversation with the Ministry of Magic, Mr. Weasley, Mr. Diggory, Hermione, and Ron.

"—It didn't sound anything like Winky, did it?" Hermione pointed out, remembering that the voice that conjured the Mark was a person, for sure.

"No." Harry shook his head, confirming it, "It definitely didn't sound like an elf."

"Yeah, it was a human voice." Ron nods.

"It wasn't an elf." Jamie adds on, fighting the urge to close her eyes.

"Well, we'll soon see." Mr. Diggory growled, unimpressed, "There's a simple way of discovering the last spell a wand performed, elf, did you know that?"

The house elf trembled and shook her head frantically, as Mr. Diggory raised his own wand and placed it tip to tip with Harry's wand.

"Prior Incantato!" Mr. Diggory yelled, and Hermione gasped.

Harry and Jamie jerk their heads up and notice that the shape of the mark erupted from the point where the two wands met. But it was only a smoke of the spell—as if it was a ghost.

"Deletrius!" The smoke had vanished as soon as that word was out of Mr. Diggory's mouth.

"So," The man looked down at the house elf with a savage triumph going on.
