"That was the last one!", happily, Dominique hopped out of the potions classroom.

"And it's the first one I'm sure I didn't fail in. Even though it won't be the best result in class, for me it is going to be.", Lucas sighed in relief.

"And I did outstanding. Like, really. I never had such a good feeling in any subject.", James boasted.

"Yeah, you've told us before, show-off.", Alice shoved James, but she was grinning, too.

Together, they went to the Great Hall where dinner would be waiting, chattering and laughing, full of relief over the survived exams.

When they entered the Great Hall, food was already served, and James saw Ted at the Hufflepuff table, next to Mike who was hitting his head with a book.

For them, the horror would end tomorrow when they both had Charms exams for their NEWTs.

For Victoire, it was the same, Charms OWLs took place on the same day, and she, too, sat on the Gryffindor table eating with a book propped up in front of her.

Dominique quickly stopped by at her and whispered something into her ear, James supposed she told her about her feelings with the now ended exams, and Victoire smiled weakly, hugging her sister.

They sat down, and Dominique hurried after them, doing the same.

"I really do not want to take my OWLs or NEWTs, they seem to be so stressful, I mean, look at Vicky. And she's not a bad student.", she sighed.

"Nevermind that, we have four whole years until it's hitting us.", James said, waving it off.

"Three.", Leo corrected him grinning.

"Nevermind that, for now let's enjoy the moment, please.", Lucas said determined, exams had been pure horror for him.

"I feel like grabbing a broom and flying through the Great Hall.", James sighed dreamily.

"You're weird.", Alice snorted, "I only feel like sleeping."

"And eating.", Lucas added.

"And in three weeks we're going home.", Dominique said.

"Time really flew by, didn't it?", James said surprised, "I hadn't noticed it's this soon."

"Yeah, I had.", Alice muttered with a sour look on her face.

James' and Dominique's glances met, and Dominique gave him a really intense, warning look that James responded to with a shrug, indicating he hadn't planned on saying anything.

"I'm going to invite you for my birthday or something, so we can meet up in the holidays.", he announced now.

"That'd be so cool, please do that!", Lucas called out excitedly, and Leo nodded enthusiastically, too, "I'd love to meet your family."

James snorted: "I know it's my Dad you want to see."

"No. Yes. But you're a nice side-effect, too.", Lucas joked, and they all ignored Alice's dark look and her scoffs, their mood was too good to be destroyed just now.

-----

They had a great time the least few weeks, not one of them had failed class.

Exams were over, class was relaxed and not as demanding as before, and the weather was perfect.

The end of the year feast was magnificent as all the other ones had been, too.

Unfortunately Gryffindor was only second place for the house cup, Hufflepuff won and Ravenclaw had been on the third place.
