Chapter 9: More Blood

Trish looked down on her left palm which was covered in a white bandage the school nurse had fixed for her. Her head prompted on her right hand resting on her school desk, she barely tried to take note of the lesson in front of her. No, she was still rather mesmerized by the odd behavior the Sakamakis had towards having cut herself...especially her blood.

Trish wouldn't have blamed anyone to be immensely disgusted by the sight of blood, but these were the Sakamakis she was referring to. Nothing about them seems normal, even their highly tense and terrified reaction to her blood.

She saw the looks displayed on the brothers. It was a weird flash of panic, yet desire that went over all their eyes at the red liquid's sight. Honestly, that had startled Trish in the moment. She hadn't really noticed their odd behavior at lunch, but now that she was able to sit down and properly think about it, she noticed all the little quirks the Brothers showed during that incident.

Recalling correctly, she remembered that Ayato didn't move his eyes aways from her during the entire encounter unlike Reiji, Kanato and Subaru did. He just stared at her wound with this painful urge in his eyes and an odd smile curling onto his lips he tried to suppress. He might have also clawed onto Yui's thigh to give himself some sort of halt to not go completely berserk, for all Trisha knew. Ayato's brother Laito had a similar expression displayed on his face, just more controlled and calm. The panic was still very visible but unlike his brother Laito made no attempt to hide his yearning smile and Trish caught him even licking his upper lick.

Not much needs to be said about Subaru's or Reiji's behavior. Both have become very uneasy and loud, having yelled at Trish to get out of the cafeteria. For Subaru, this wasn't odd at all, but for Reiji to raise his voice that way - to have a small sudden outburst - was far from normal. Reiji, out of all the brothers, always tried to preserve his calm and collected image, yet in that single moment, he let it all drop.

Kanato even, who never really engaged with Trish in the slightest and just stared at her turned away by the sight of her blood and started chuckling, holding real tight onto his teddy bear.

The only brother who's reaction she didn't get to see was Shu's. Well, in a way she did, by him leaving immediately and without hesitation.

Yui was as always the only sane person in this event. Yes, she might have had a slightly panicked look on her face, but it was one of worry and less off putting. Trish noticed that the blonds' worry wasn't really directed towards Trisha's blood unlike the brothers, but rather on the brothers themself. As if she was watching and observing them ready to act if she had to. It was truly very odd and particulier.

Maybe...

Trish fidgeted around with the bandage on her palm, thinking.

If the brothers are so afraid of getting in touch with blood and Yui being the only capable person to engage with such...then maybe, Trish had a way to talk to Yui in private after all...

Trish made sure that she waited a couple of days until she initialized the plan she had crafted for herself as an attempt to get a chance to speak with Yui. Just so it wouldn't be too obvious and suspicious. The brunette had no idea if this would even work, but she was willing to try. Just a couple of minutes alone with Yui would be enough to ask her what was really happening in this household.

Trish had mostly taken care of her injury on her left palm, and it has healed for the most part. Though not enough, to the point where the wound could reopen if sliced open again. Which was precisely her plan.

This night after another school week, Trish made her way to the dining room as usual to have dinner with the Sakamakis and Yui. For two days Trish didn't wear the bandage anymore, despite the wound still being rather fresh, but she wanted to lower suspicion to make it seem like what she was about to do this night was shere coincidence.
