~Chapter 4: He’s Too Weird For Me

“You… know?” What kind of weird creep was this guy? “How do you know?” I asked him.

Niall looked like he snapped out of a trance. “Oh, I can tell. It’s just… your eyes.” He shrugged.

This guy’s really weird, I thought. I didn’t reply and walked away from him to the other boys. I had no interest whatsoever in Niall.

Adriana watched me. “Are you hungry, Cordelia?”

I shook my head and then walked back into the bathroom. I heard them whispering about me. I didn’t come all the way here with my arch enemy to be talked about behind my back. I walked back out, absolutely silent. “Maybe I should just leave,” I replied quietly.

“No! Why?” Adriana asked. “You said you’d sleep over.”

I sighed, turning around. “Can I have my own room?”

Adriana glanced at the boys and took me outside. “What’s wrong with you?! These are celebrities that millions of girls are dying to meet! Why aren’t you happy?” she asked, exasperated. I knew nobody could put up with me. Not even someone like myself.

I shrugged. “They’re YOUR idols. Not mine.”

Adriana stared at me. “Alright. Your own room.” She led me across the hall. “Here. Just go to my room if you want anything.”

I nodded and she left. I walked around the grand bedroom, exploring it. It was very different from Adriana’s. Less… glamourous. I smoothed out the bed sheet, but then realized I didn’t have any pajamas. “Shit,” I mumbled. I sighed, walking back to her room. I knocked on the door.

One of the boys opened up the door. He was tall with a brown quiff and a blonde streak. “Hi, um, where’s Adriana?” I asked, peering inside.

The guy turned around and called her. “Yeah, Zayn?” I heard Adriana. “Oh! Hi, Cordelia. Have you come back to join us?” She smiled at me.

I kept a straight face and replied seriously, “Do you have any pajamas?”

She nodded and brought me in. They were watching a movie, eating, and playing music. “Hey, Cordelia!” the one with the curly brown hair replied. The one in stripes next to him on Adriana’s couch waved.

            “Hello,” I said, unsure.

The other tall one was in the corner, listening to music. He smiled at me. Niall was missing. “Uh, where’s Niall?” I asked Adriana.

“Wow, sudden interest in the Irish one now? He’s cute isn’t he?” Adriana asked, laughing.

“No…,” I grumbled. “He’s weird.” And creepy, I added to myself.

“You’ll get to know him,” Adriana said, more to herself than me.

I sighed. “I don’t want to know him,” I said to myself. I followed Adriana into her giant walk-in closet and picked out a pair of pajamas.

“I’ll call you over when Niall’s back,” Adriana said to me, smirking.

“Maybe you shouldn’t,” I replied. “He’s too weird for me. And creepy.” I walked away, back to my own room.

I stood in front of my door, taking a deep breath.

“I’m weird?” I heard a voice ask from behind me. I turned around.

I gasped at how close Niall was to me. Where did he come from?! “Y-you heard me say that?” I looked around. There was no one else in the hallway.

Niall suddenly pushed me up against the wall. With his arm around my waist, he leaned next to my ear, so close I could feel his breath, and whispered, “You wanna say that to me again?”
