~Chapter 42 (Beginning of Part Two): I Hope It's Her

“Wait up, Niall! I’m coming!” I called as I laughed, running up to him.

He smiled and took my hand, leading me down a beautiful road. It was a nice day out; the sky was clear and it was warm. Niall turned to me, his eyes glistening, and said, “WAKE UP, I’M HUNGRY, CORDELIA.”

            “Huh?”

Suddenly, I felt myself snap into reality. “Wake uppppppppp,” I heard him say again, shaking me. “I’m hungryyyyy, Cordeliaaaaaaaaa.”

I pushed Niall’s arm away and rolled away, ignoring him. “Go away, I’m sleeping.”

            “I’m hungry, bitchhhhhh, get up.”

“Go away, blondie,” I mumbled in my sleep, smiling to myself.

“Make me a sandwich, woman,” Niall joked, laughing.

I ignored him and continued sleeping. “I’ll make you one when you can fly.”

Niall poked me in the ribs and I jerked awake. He continued tickling me as I laughed and tried to breathe. “Stop…! It…! I’m…! Up…!” I gasped.

Niall kissed me and jumped out of bed, almost literally flying into the bathroom. I had moved in with Niall at our hometown, Mullingar, Ireland. I couldn’t say that it felt great to be back, but it sure felt great to feel at home. I was a completely different person now. I knew I couldn’t go back and change my past, so I left it all behind me. Now, I was finally happy. “The boys are coming over at three so we can gather to go to an interview,” Niall said from the bathroom.

“Hmm,” I responded, brushing my hair in the mirror. “Should I tag along?”

“Sure, sweetie.” I smiled and put mascara and eyeliner on. “Stop bothering with your looks, we’ve all seen you without makeup on anyway.” Niall came up from behind me and hugged my waist. I kissed him.

“I just like putting on makeup,” I replied, laughing. “Besides, we’re going public and I like feel secure.”

I stuck my tongue out at him as he mumbled, “Girls…”

I turned on the radio, hearing “Little Things” play. “Oh, how perfect.” I sang along, now knowing all the words to the song. After all, it was the song that changed my life. The song ended as the radio spokesperson talked.

“And there you have ‘Little Things’ by One Direction! This is Janelle, playing another thirty-minute music set. Also another interview happening today with One Direction.”

“Janelle?” My ears perked up. “Hey, babe, isn’t she that Directioner we met in Beverly Hills?”

“I think so. Was it the one that talked to us… there? The one that talked to you?” Niall asked.

I rolled my eyes. “If you’re thinking of the right person, yes, it’s her. But do you think it’s… HER her?”

“I don’t know, jeez. We’re going to find out soon enough. Apparently we’re having our interview with her.”

My heart raced, eager to see this girl once again. “I hope it’s her.”

We pulled up in front of the radio station building. Eager to see if I was thinking about the right person, I threw open the car door, hitting security in the face. “Oops, sorry,” I apologised. I climbed out the door and walked into the building, holding Niall’s hand.

We made our way into the interview studio. I gasped.
