"cat." alice groaned as her cat, cat purred and pawed at her face. yep, it's name is cat.

the girl painfully dragged herself out of bed and slumped over to cat's food bowl, grabbing the bag of food placed next to it to refill for the day.

petting cat once more, alice walked back into her room and pulled out her clothes for the day. she went with some black flared leggings and a grey zip up hoodie, also grabbing a light grey beanie.

oh ok, i was going to see if you'd like to go on a walk with me but it's okay.

alice slung her bag over her shoulder and slid her white air forces on. she had decided to bring cat to work today, so she connected a lead to her collar and started her walk down to the café.

"morning, evan!" alice beamed as she entered the café.

evan turned around and smiled back, "good morning! you're in a good mood, any reason?"

"the guy i told you about, tobi, might be coming here today."

evan grinned. "i'll finally get to meet your boyfriend!"

alice rolled her eyes and wafted her hand at him, "he's not my boyfriend, shut up."

his eyes narrowed at her suspiciously, before turning away and he begun wiping the tables clean again.

alice placed some new coffee pods in the jar before flipping the sign on the door to 'OPEN'.

a regular came in a few minutes after.

"black coffee please."

alice smiled and started making his order, also giving him a free mini caramel waffle.

the man thanked the girl, and walked out of the shop.

the cafe was quiet for a little, before josh came in, along with tobi.

"morning josh." alice said when she heard the regular sound of his squeaky sliders.

she turned around and also saw tobi standing next to him. "hey."

"oh, tobi! hi! good morning!" she smiled and walked over to give him a small hug.

alice heard the door behind them blast open. evan came running over.

"you.... you're..." evan stuttered. oh yeah, he was a fan of the sidemen.

the group had been talking for a while now, it was nearly their closing time.

alice glanced up at tobi to see him already gazing into her eyes. she looked away shyly.

she turned her head to evan, sat next to her, who was ranting about his love life with his boyfriend as josh listened to the drama intently.

tobi couldn't get his eyes off of alice. she looked really nice today. the way the sun hits her face, and her scattered freckles more visible in the light.

he forced himself to stop looking at her in such ways. they were just friends, and had only known eachother for a week or two.
