"did you even follow a recipe for this?" alice scoffed, looking over at tobi who furrowed his eyebrows, confused at why the cake turned out as flat as a pancake."umm yeah, i did," he said, scanning the instructions for the tenth time.
he suddenly slapped a hand over his forehead and groaned.
"we forgot the self raising flour."
"and it was right there!" alice groaned too, pointing at the flour that was next to all the other ingredients.
she scooped up a handful of flour and threw it at tobi's face. he stood there with his mouth open, shocked before he snapped back to reality and glared at the girl, before a mischievous smile popped up on his face.
tobi also grabbed a handful of flour and dumped it onto alice's hair.
she watched as he grabbed another handful, which signalled for her to run away.
the two chased each other in circles around the kitchen island until they eventually got tired and stared at the mess they had created.
-
"who's gonna drive me home tonight?" the pair screamed as tobi drove alice home.
"who's gonna argue til' they win the fight?"
their singing came to an abrupt stop when they ended up in traffic.
"bitch." alice groaned.
tobi turned the radio off and stuck his head out the window to see the traffic line.
"it's so long." tobi scoffed, dragging out the 'g'
alice looked over at the boy who was already staring at her and grinned, "i guess you're stuck with me for now then. lucky you."
tobi rolled his eyes sarcastically, "what a shame."
alices mouth fell open and she slapped his shoulder, "you know, that really hurt my feelings," she folded her arms and looked away with a dramatic scoff.
"aww sorry, what can i do to make it up to you?" he cooed
alice whipped her head around with a smirk at his words. she turned the radio on and started playing paper rings by taylor swift.
"sing it!"
tobi furrowed his eyebrows at alice, "i don't know the lyrics."
she handed him her phone so he could follow the spotify lyrics.
-
tobi groaned and turned the radio off after singing 7 more songs.
"happy now?"
alice grinned mischievously, "very."
they were slowly getting through the traffic.
tobi looked back over to the girl next to him.
he reached over and wiped his thumb over her cheek, basically cradling her face as he did so.
alice looked down at his hand and then back to him, "what are you doing?"
"you had flour on your cheek still." he smiled, rubbing his hands together to get the flour off of his thumb.
alice smiled back, before turning to 'look out the window'.
she was really just hiding the blush that had spread around her face.
