13. feelings?

its been a week since the catastrophe with marcus. alice had cried almost every night, thinking of the things that could have happened to her.

tobi had been comforting her all the time too, alice felt guilty, she thought she was taking up too much of tobis time even though he'd reassured her multiple times he wants to help her.

she was basically over it now, thought about it sometimes when she was alone though.

"you wanna come over?" alice smiled, eyes half open as she spoke to tobi on facetime.

"you sound really tired alice.. you should sleep instead" tobi insisted, letting out a small laugh at the girls state.

"noo im not tired! im just resting my eyes for a few moments.." she sighed, before her phone flopped down and faced the ceiling.

"are you drunk, alice? ill come round tomorrow?"

tobi didn't get a response.

"alice?"

he rolled his eyes and huffed a laugh before ending the call and eventually falling asleep, but he couldn't stop thinking about her.

alice woke up the next morning with a terrible headache. she'd been drinking last night.

her doorbell rang a few minutes after she woke up and she groaned, dragging herself out of bed to slump over to her front door.

she opened the door lazily to reveal tobi. her eyes widened and she stood up straight. "tobi? im not ready! i didn't know you were coming!" she hid her face behind the door.

he peaked around and smiled, "it doesn't matter alice, let me help you."

she let him in hesitantly and he grabbed her hand, pulling her to the couch so she could lay down.

"can i have some tablets please? they are in the second cupboard." she mumbled.

tobi walked over to the kitchen immediately, looking for the tablets that she requested.

he filled a cup of water for her and placed it on the coffee table that lay next to her with a tablet.

she picked the tablet up and swallowed it with a sip of water. (wish i could do this im so bad at swallowing tablets)

alice rubbed her forehead and led back down, this time on tobis lap with a pillow.

she slowly dozed off and felt tobis hand rest on her forehead. just the touch of his hand made her smile in her sleep.

tobi looked from his phone back to alice, who was asleep comfortably on his lap, she looked so peaceful.

he stared for a few moments and found him smiling to himself.

he stared at the message on his phone once again.

tobi began to type a reply, and hesitated to send it.
