alice wrapped her beige scarf around her neck and linked her arm with tobi's.

tobi had come to walk alice to her work today and hang around with her, he didn't really have much to do.

"so what have you been up to?" tobi asked, looking down at the girl.

alice scoffed and rolled her eyes dramatically, "nothing much, just work, sleep, repeat."

"wow that must be like so hard for you," tobi teased.

alice looked up at him with a playful smile and nudged him to the bush beside them, he just managed to avoid falling into it.

tobi narrowed his eyes at alice and nudged her back, but it was more soft.

she let out a small laugh, before grabbing his hand to pull him around the corner that he nearly missed.

neither of them let go of each others hands, they didn't really realise either.

they made it to the cafe and entered eventually, after a few attempts of tobi trying push the pull door.

"alice! ... tobi?" evan paused, looking down at their interlocked fingers.

this action made the pair realise what they were doing, both letting go quickly. they held hands all the time, why were they only bothered when someone pointed it out?

-

after they had cleaned up the tables and restocked the coffee pods, they were ready to open up.

alice flipped the closed sign to open and went back behind the counter, tobi sat on the bench next to where she stood intensely reading a book.

she noticed how concentrated he seemed and she smiled, his concentration face was cute.

-

after a while, the man from yesterday walked in, alice learned that his name is marcus.

evan noticed, and he watched intensely from the corner.

marcus stood at the other side of the counter and tapped alice's shoulder, she turned around and smiled.

"oh hi marcus, again!"

tobi looked up from his book for the first time after a while.

alice was looking at the man dreamily.

"hey, alice. ill have a macchiato."

she nodded and began making it as he sat down at a table which was opposite tobi's.

evan came up to her, "you're literally living the elana gilbert life right now,"

alice huffed a laugh, "what do you mean?"

"girl you know what i mean. don't act dumb with me."

she rolled her eyes, "tobi doesn't like me like that."

"and you're so sure?" evan raised an eyebrow dramatically.

alice didn't reply, instead bringing over marcus' coffee.

she set it down next to him and he smiled up at her.

alice went to the table opposite and sat next to tobi, he rested his arm over her shoulders, the back of their heads turned to marcus.

evan watched the pair giggle together and talk, with a very angry looking marcus behind them.

evan rolled his eyes at alice's obliviousness.
