She turned to me

Her: thank you

Me: so Daniel is back....

Her: yep

She smiled

Me: what's the story there? Did you know he was alive this whole time?

Her: I swear I was as shocked as you are. I didn't even want him inside the house, that's how much I couldn't believe that he was alive and well

Me: wow. You must be happy he's back huh?

Her: you have no idea.

She was glowing. She seemed happy

Me: oh my god!

Her: what?

Me: you've been having sex!

Her: what?

Me: I'm happy for you honestly. I'm glad you got some this valentine

She hit me playfully'

Her: shut up Mrs Bess

Me: I'm quiet Mrs Hlathi. I'm curious

Her: we not talking about my sex life Amahle

Me: not about that chill. My curiosity is about Daniel. What's going to happen now? I mean this is the man that rose from the dead. The whole world was convinced he was dead and now suddenly he is alive

Her: he said he's working on that

Me: so who else knows about him being alive?

Her: Your in laws, well David has known since the funeral that he didn't die and then there are some of his business associates and his brother

Me: and none of this people thought of giving you a heads up

Her: he asked them no too. Can we get inside its getting kind of chilly

Me: uhhm ok let's go

It wasn't cold that's for sure but because of mom's sickness I kind of understood. Hence I didn't argue or whatsoever. We got inside and went to the lounge and found Alu, Ana and Daniel talking about his rise from the dead. Mom and I sat down on a double couch. Nathi was not happy and I didn't blame her.

Alu: Nathi can't you just be happy he's alive?

Ana: No! he put mom through hell Aluncedo and we supposed to just welcome him back with our arms open wide? No ways brother

Me: I agree with Nathi. Dad you should have at least gave us a heads up. How do you think mom was holding up? How do you think she was coping with your "death"? She had recently lost her mother and then you pull a prank on her? It doesn't work like that

Alu: can you guys give the poor guy a break please

Dan: thanks Alu. May I talk now?

Us: fine

Dan: I know I was wrong. I shouldn't have faked my death but if I didn't then your mother would have been in grave danger. Me being alive put her life at risk and the people that were after me were going to use her to get to me so I had to play dead

Me: for 3 flipp'n years right? What were you doing for 3 years Daniel?

Him: I was looking out for my you guys and making sure that you guys don't suffer because of me being gone. I had people help me take care of the people that tried to kill me

Ana: surely that didn't take you 3 years

Him: it didn't, you right but I couldn't just come back. I wanted to come back as soon as I was done with those people but I couldn't bring myself too, I was afraid of your reaction. I was afraid you guys wouldn't welcome me back. I went as far as considering just leaving you alone but when I found out your mother was sick; I just knew I had to come back
