#AMAHLE

The next day Damon and I woke up and did the necessary, he was going to drop the kids off at school and then drop me off at the airport before he goes to work. Karen is my friend and I have to be there for her, I already failed to be there for my best friend Aya, I can't fail her too. I can't believe that she was locked up for over a month and I did not once check on her to see if she was truly ok. I mean yeah I called her phone a couple of times and received texts from William saying they did not want to be disturbed but I should have tried harder. What if she had died and no one found her? I've lost way too many people in my life, I cannot lose her too. I explained to the kids where I was going and I asked Jen to stand in for me while I went to Joburg for the week, yes I wasn't planning on staying too long, I have a husband, kids and a company to take care of in Durban. We dropped the kids off and then drove off to the airport.

Him: So when will you be back?

Me: I don't know, Thursday or Friday. I just have to be there for her

Him: I understand. She's going to pull through

Me: she has too. She's pregnant and she has two kids to come back to

Him: exactly. Have you told Siya?

Me: Yeah I called her this morning. She said she would be there later on, there's an important client she can't not meet up with

Him: I see

We sat in silence with just metro FM playing on radio.

Me: will you and the kids be ok for a week?

Him: of cause we will be. Go and be with your friend ok, she needs you more than I do

Me: why does it feel like you just tryna get rid of me?

He chuckled.

Him: yeah I am... finally my side chicks will have me for a whole week all to themselves

We both laughed.

Me: tell them not to get too comfy. I can rock up any minute

Him: eish yah... you have that tendency

He parked the car

Me: it's my house of cause

Him: yeah yeah whatever Mrs Bess. On the real though, please hurry home

he gave me puppy eyes.

Me: what? Scared you going to miss me much?

Him: you know I always do

Me: I'll try be back soon. I can't make any promises, my friend and brother need me

Him: speaking of brother, how is Alu so sure that baby Karen is carrying is his?

Me: Well Alu and Kay stopped their affair after they almost got caught or were caught by William right? But when the dust settled and she had earned his trust again they continued with where they had left off and apparently this one time they didn't use a condom, I guess they were too excited or whatever. I can't keep up with my brother and Karen's affair. One minute it's on and the next its off.

Him: wow!

Me: I know right.

Him: and what about William?

Me: well ever since Will found out about Alu, they went back to using a condom... trust issues

Him: do you think William locked her up because of the pregnancy?

Me: I don't know... but it would make sense though

Him: yeah it's the only logical explanation. So has your brother involved the cops?
