Chapter 10

Third person POV

It was 7 in the morning as Naruto had just woken up as he remembered he had a team meeting right about now but since his two senseis were late yesterday he thought they would be late today as well.Naruto then made himself breakfast as he ate completely ignoring Kakashi's warning as he realized it was all a trick so that they wouldn't be at their top form.He only hoped his teammates had seen through the test if not then that's their problem.

*Timeskip to 10 am*

Naruto had finally made it to training ground 7 where he saw his teammates only as they all looked to be starved.When he made it to them Sakura was the first one to notice as she shouted at him.

Sakura:"Naruto you idiot your late!!"she said clearly having forgotten what she did yesterday as the rest of the squad finally took notice of him.

Naruto:"As far as I'm concerned I'm on time since both of our senseis are not here.So if you will do us all a favor and shut up that would be appreciated."He said in a irritated tone as the group saw their senseis come in the form of a Leaf Shunshin.

Sakura:"Your both late where were you!?"she shouted once again much to the displeasure of everyone present.

Kakashi:"Well we had past a black cat on the way here and had to take the long way around."he said as they all didn't believe his excuse but didn't have the energy to say otherwise and in Naruto's case he just didn't care.

Kushina:"Now we will be doing a survival exercise.Here we have four bells split between the two of us.The one who doesn't get a bell will be sent back to the academy.You have until 12 to get the bells.And for extra motivation if you don't get the bell you will watch as the rest of us eat these bento boxes."she said as everyones stomachs growled except for Naruto as Kakashi noticed.

Kakashi:"Naruto did you eat before you arrived?"

Naruto:"Yes I did as it would have been illogical to skip breakfast as I would have underperformed if I had done so."he said as he looked at Kakashi with a bored stare.

Kakashi:"Mhm Just checking."he said as Sakura was outraged

Sakura:"But sensei you said that we shouldn't eat so Naruto-baka didn't follow your instructions so he should be punished!!"she shouted as she thought that she was right.

Naruto:"No he advised us not to eat but that was all it was advice so I didn't break any rules now if you would shut your mouth and let sensei start this thing it would be the best thing you would have done since I've met you."he said in a calm tone that left no room for argument as Sasuke,Narumi and Menma felt as if he was to harsh with her but chose to keep quiet.While Kushina was just in thought.

Kushina:'Is this because of our neglect?'she thought sadly as Kakashi had started the exam.

Kakashi:"Now begin!!"he shouted as everyone went to hide except Naruto.

Kakashi:"Naruto why didn't you go and hide like the rest?"

Naruto:"It would be pointless as you would still find me but either way it makes no difference if you did since I would beat you but I'll let the others have their chance to take the bells before I take them."he said as he went over to a tree that had shade as he just lied down ignoring the two Jonin in front of him.

Kakashi was shocked at his arrogance as he was about to take him out right there but was held back by Kushina as she told him to let him go and just go after the rest.

As she said this Menma jumped infront of the two of them.

Menma:"I'll be taking those bells Kakashi-nii!"he shouted charging blindly as he threw a few Kunai at Kakashi as he went through hand signs.
