When news came Rhaenyra and Verena stood at the table talking about their next action to take. Daemon walked in and pulled them foreword. Fears bubbled in Verena's stomach as Daemon laced his fingers into hers. Their backs facing the crowd. Daemon spoke,
"Borros Baratheon has sent word. Prince Aemond killed Maelor and Lucerys when they were fleeing home."
Her hand dropped from Daemon's just like that. Verena's heart felt like it had stopped. Everything was silent like white noise filtering out her ears every second. Her first born. Maelor. He was good. He was innocent. Her sweet sweet boy. Lucerys was kind hearted. They should have never sent them there. Her own nephew murdered her son. Her heart ached. Everything in her body tingled. A gasp left Verena's mouth as she walked foreword her knees buckling while Rhaenyra's head bowed as tears streamed down her face. A strangled scream left Verena's mouth, After that all she could muster was a whisper,
"My son..."
All of a sudden her sadness turned to anger. She stood her knees wobbling. Both Rhaenyra and Verena turned around a look of war on their faces. They exchanged a look, fury burning in both their eyes. Rhaenyra and Verena stayed staring at the rest of the room with rage written on their faces. Tears whispering down their faces as they breathed in heavily watching each other. The deaths of their sons perched the end of the war of ravens and messengers and so began the dance of dragons.
From the death of Verena's first born grew, as some would say, the greatest war commander to ever grace Westeros and the great merciless Hand of the Queen. Her son would be avenged. In a sea of fire and blood.

This book is now completed. I will be making a second one, When season two comes out. Wow this was a rollercoaster full of pain and fury. I really didn't want to kill Maelor :( But it's necessary for the ruthlessness that will come next Thank you for all of the support I hope you enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed writing it. This has been a rollercoaster. First fanfic i've ever written. See you in two years <3
