Criston Cole continued his rampage across the way, executing whoever stood in their way, would not bend the knee. Cole was first called the Kingmaker, by one of the Lords who stayed loyal to Rhaenyra, who refused to bend the knee. Cole communicating with Aemond, decided to take Rook's Rest, an ally for Rhaenyra and an easier victory than against Daemon.

In the council meeting, Aegon snaps about Larys being useless and letting Daemon take the castle, Larys defends himself by saying that the castle would ruin Daemon on its own. Aegon brings up the fact that his Aunt had claimed a dragon, Aemond rolled his eyes and claimed,

"She is not a threat. Vhagar will destroy them both."

Aegon anger rose as he was being micro managed by his brother and everyone else on this castle. Even Aegon thought underestimating Verena was a mistake. She was a strong fighter and now she had a dragon. Aegon asked how he knew all this information about Cole preparing his attack, Aemond simply replied that he had been in communication, Aegon spoke his voice showing his hurt, anger,

"The two of you have been plotting... without my authority?"

Aemond sighed and answered in High Valyrian fluently, Aegon attempting to answer back in broken Valyrian as he never cared to study the language, no matter how many times everyone told him of its importance. Aemond felt high and mighty as he spoke of how they must weaken Rhaenyra's support further with taking Rook's rest, Aegon smiled weakly nodding, before walking out angrily.

Larys looked down at the goblet the tea was carried in and nodded not believing her. Alicent changed the conversation by asking about the meeting, Larys responded about Harrenhall being taken by Daemon, and Aegon's anger towards the failure.

Alicent asks if he is aggrieved by this loss, he responds that now Rhaenyra's supporters are now spilt in several areas weakened. Larys took a breath before speaking,

"We do have one more pressing concern.
Your sister."

Alicent's face dropped in surprise,

"What problem?"

"Verena has taken a dragon, not just any dragon but the Purple Death. Now with that dragon on their side they could take down Vhagar. Aemond is wrapped up in his ego to see the pressing concern."

Alicent could not wipe the look of surprise and awe of her face. Part of her the childhood side, knew this was her dream, to have a dragon, to be a dragon. The other half was terrified. Verena had every means to collect justice for her son now. Alicent ended the topic by saying,
