Ever since Verena Hightower was born her father, the hand of the king Otto Hightower loathed her, wanted more than nothing to be rid of her but because of duty and family, she lives...
Daemon meets with Simon Strong, Simon detailing how the winds have shifted, and that he was unsure what was to follow. Daemon didn't look fazed, he had been struggling with countless halluncinations, of his failure of his wife, his niece, his brother and Daemon hated it. He hated being reminded of the human beneath the dragon. Verena knew more than anyone that Daemon puts on a front more than anything else. A barrier.
Daemon asks about how much of the repairs had been started, Simon detailed that they were drawing water for the kitchens and lighting the forges. Daemon nodded and Simon kept listing the works and the needs, especially for armorers and smiths. Daemon spoke,
"Well, send for them, and levy the farmers from Antlers to High Heart. Task their huntsmen to bring us meat and wood."
Simon looked down and then up again, bringing up the matter of currency. The castle of Harrenhall did not have enough funds to repair that's why it was never done. Larys transferred his family's wealth to King's Landing. Simon stuttered out,
"I... I rather thought, Your Grace, as emissary to the Queen that p-perhaps she could provide the necessary coin if you could only write to her. Or even your lady wife? I'm sure they will want to hear from you."
Daemon sent him a dirty look, too infused with his own demons, to realise that his wife was all he really needed. And what his body was calling for, what his heart was calling for. Daemon stated that he will guarantee the payment myself. Daemon beckoned Simon up, fed up with the conversation, Simon spoke respectfully,
"Very well, Your Grace."
Daemon lowly spoke,
"You should address me as "my king.""
Simon cocked his head to the side, misunderstanding, he was the prince, he was not even married to the Queen. Daemon snapped,
"Rhaenyra will have a high place at my court, rest assured, but she will never be able to sit on the throne. My family line, myself will solidify our Targaryen reign, and then I will get my wife back."

The Grand Maester addressed the green council, detailing Aegon's wounds. He had suffered grievous burns over much of his body and has many broken bones. He fears there are more injuries within, injuries he cannot see. Alicent thanked the Grand Maester before inquiring into if he had regained consciousness yet.
Orwyle shook his head, letting it be known that their was a chance Aegon would never wake. Then Alicent brought up the topic of the fact they would need a regent, they all agreed. Alicent put her foot forward, having served in this role for her husband. Everyone in the council looked at each other, what would it mean if a woman was raised up, when they had denounced Rhaenyra for that very fact.
